Wilfred Bony - possible January Signing

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Aguero like Messi are s good the stand in never gets a run or a feeling they are important despite all the right things said by the manager. Bony is in the same boat as Zlatan was at Barca, trying to fit in. Forwards are confidence players who need to be number 1. That will not happen with us, between him and Ian they are back up.

With the amount of times serg is out I really hope Bony stays. He is probably gonna be needed
He's doing just fine

He is indeed. You don't get an arse like that eating a salad!

If we could ship him out AND get a proper replacement that suits our style I'd cut my losses on Bony in a heartbeat. That however is unlikely, so I would keep him for six more months

Lots of rumors of Swansea wanting him back. Wonder what they'd pay?

no doubt the club would not get a good fee for him from anyone (he's only caused his value to plummet since he's arrived) but at what point does any sum become a good sum that can be put towards buying a better replacement?

this is why the club should absolutely not be shelling out these big fees on unproven and/or injury-prone players (Bony, Mangala, Otamendi, Jovetic, etc.)

Bony wasn't really unproven when we signed him he was the highest premier league goalscorer from that calendar year

I think all 4 were pretty proven to be honest.

This Bony witch hunt has reached ridiculous proportions. Does he score? Yes.

Proven as a goalscorer in a small side that revolves around him

And you think we can easily prise of a top class striker from a top team and he would be happy to be Aguero's understudy?

We aren't going to get a replacement this month. Although a promising performance from Nacho in the FA Cup game, Everton will be a different test all together.

Pellers has nailed his colours to the mast, which means no striker being brought in. Nacho is OK but needs help. He was chucked in at the deep end against Liverpool and looked as useless as the other 9 lumps in blue that day.

I would like to see him get a run of games with Sergio side by side. Tormenting defences.

Completely agree on both counts. People love to have someone to moan about. If Iheanacho nudges ahead of him in the pecking order, fine. We can then deploy Bony from the bench as a Plan B type when we need to be more direct.

There is no chance of anyone matching his wages. My biggest frustration is his constant injuries. He is out of the squad again for tomorrow.

oh no. Fuck. I had him down for jogging around like a bowlegged spaztard with an ass the size of mack truck for 30 mins, missing a sitter and generally doing fuckall other than 1 or 2 above average bits of hold up play so that cunts could say "he is fine!"

Looks like i was wrong.

cheers

And you will continue to praise a hold up play by fat arse, during a game, and ensure every cunt knows about it.

Kelechi will be in for some punishment between now and the end of the season from the average premier league meat head centre halves.
