Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

My impression from the other night was that the crowd noise on 401 made it bearable - in fact I dont know how they did it (PC game?), but there was constant noise including City chants (and the odd gooner) without any of those awkward siliences you often get at the big stadia
I had a quick look at silent 402, interespersed with the odd expletive from Pep - and I couldn't bear it to be honest. I just couldn't watch it like that, though I know a few did.
So crowd noise for me.

Not for me. I don't need the Canned noise. Shows the lengths that Sky will go to though in an effort to "enhance the experience "

I hated the whole experience of fake football BUT our beautiful football reminded me of what I have been missing and because it’s City it sort of made up for it . Tyler fucking ruins anything city are involved in so he got fucked off straight away but again I think second half the people at city did a decent job with the fake crowd noise and chants and some subtle shithousery was there for all to hear thankfully . Away games will be unbearable I think deffo hitting the mute button for those !
Not really here
Fuck VAR

Pre-season friendly in the USA or China vs. pre-season friendly in Macclesfield for me. Neither's going to pique my interest too much.

I have had the sound off for years. Partly because I am sick of tyler the red sycophant and his ferret sidekick, partly because of the arsehole liverpool fans commentating in Japan (though the misery in their voices when we score is quite delicious at times), and partly because the matches are on in the middle of the night. I know what City fans sing and I know what Mancs sound like. I can hear it all in my head.
That last bit looks a bit weird reading it back.
No fake crowd noise for me, thanks.

Its a no from me.
Show it for what it is, a true portrayal of the events as they occur, thats what LIVE sport is supposed to do . It is a game behind closed doors with no fans its not a game with invisible fans making noise, so no show it for what it is, thats correct media.

Torn.
Started with noise on (default not deliberate choice) and it seemed disingenuous.
Opted for no noise and it seemed soul-less, depressing.
Heart sunk when camera filmed spitting pundit Carragher, sat in our stadium, zoomed out to see him surrounded by empty seats.
Neville and Carragher were there. We were not.
Bring us back.

It seemed like (on Sky) if you want to watch in UHD then you have no choice but to hear the piped crowd. Wasn’t as bad as I expected and they did manage to throw in a few slightly delayed “oohs” for near misses etc

Rather have them turn it off so you can hear the players and managers yelling at each other

It wasn’t for me until our game when they had a lot of our own crowd noise which enhanced watching the game. Still felt weird though.
It’s cheesy but it’s not the worst part of game.

Same foe me. Started with no noise but it was soulless and therefore unwatchable. Switched over and at least it sounded a bit more realistic, even if it was a bit like a pc game. It also gave me something other than Tyler's droning raggery to focus on!

The crowd noises were taken directly from the FIFA game, you're not wrong because that's exactly what they were, game sounds.
Left hammer+sickle-moon for a much better shade of blue :)

It's fine. No probs with it. It's only noticeable when they get it wrong.
