Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

There are some pretty strong rumours about Iniesta joining us in the mold of Vieira and Lampard transfers. Had Arteta left he would have been player-coach but as Arsenal has moved other direction I don't know if that's still on the table.
Be as it may, fuck Mahrez and rest of those. Wht we really needed in those champion's League key moments last year was someone experienced who could set the pace of the game. I know he is old s fuck but he just happens to be my favourite player outside City so I'm really hoping this will happen. Besidrs, he is one of the rare breed of old superstar players who actually MIGHT make a good manager.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I really wish, but he’s said he doesn’t want to ever play against Barca, so unless he goes back on his word or he signs a very unusual contract which states he won’t play against them (imagine that in a champs league final?!) then it’s not happeneing.
I thought for a couple of days he could replace Arteta as a coach.
Getting him here in any capacity would be a huge coup

Welcome back ndqp you have missed the most gloruous part of our history!
Would love iniesta as he is one of my fave players ever, its sentiment really in reality we have moved on from him and the pl isnt a place for a retiring central midfielder. Id of taken him as assistant manager stroke occasional player though!

I'm struggling for syllables 'brought us back a playerer'?
Come to think of it 'footballer' fits.

dont see how this is an issue if we want him. the max would be 3 matches. given his age and the role he'd be in he could be on the bench for all 3 and that wouldnt matter for us.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Pretty sure we're done signing players who's career is over

tbh I've watched barca so little last season I don't know if he has it in him anymore.. and unless he is still a superstar I'm not super excited about signing old players as player-managers to come on and play the odd fifteen minutes here and there instead of say Foden or Diaz when we're cruising against someone in the league cup... but it is what it is and more than anything I want to keep winning and if he makes us better I welcome him.
as an assistant manager straight away, why not if Pep thinks he can offer us something

As a player it will never happen, nor should it.
As a player/coach it has merit.

Haha! What makes you think I've missed anything? I enjoyed the season with two trips to Manchester and CL away game this päät season.
Disagree re:Iniesta. He never had any pace to begin with. He can still dominate and set the pace of the game on his own.

Vissel Kobe have got rich backers in Rakuten. They've not won any honours yet, but the J-League only started in 1994.
J-League history is littered with foreign players who are over the hill and don't perform but draw colossal wages. I'll be keeping an eye on this to see how it pans out.

Is Rakuten TV that sponsor Barca from the same region?
