Rumours suggest due to players saying they would leave if he was still there next season...
Hopefully if he's in charge on Sunday still they'll just down tools, if it escalates and he leaves before the game they'll want to stick their fingers up at him!

Too much player power these days.
Who gives a fuck if the players like him or not. They are supposed to be professionsls they don't have to like him.
They shouldn't be paid.

This has now been confirmed by the Watford chairman according to the BBC.

Agree with this.
I fucking hate these "player revolts" we seem to be getting at every club these days. There are people at any club who are in charge of analysing whether the manager is the right man to take them forward. Players are foot soldiers. Besides most of these complaints are usually some primadonna star player moaning about his role or whatnot.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Walter Mazzarri is to leave his role as Watford head coach less than a year after taking over.
Sky Sports News HQ understands the Italian will take charge of the final match against Manchester City on Sunday and will depart along with his coaching staff after just one season in charge.
Mazzarri was told of the decision on Tuesday at the club's training ground by club owner Gino Pozzo and chairman Scott Duxbury.

That's why I posted it in first place, as long as he is in charge on Sunday should be good for us, if decides to walk himself before it'll be the team proving a point and turn up against us, how many times we seen it before, Leicester being the most recent......

The next manager will be the ninth in the five years that the Italian owners have been in charge. What a joke they've turned the club into.

Hopefully Sunday could be their Sven moment and we get 8.
The guy sounds like an idiot to me. Surely if player power arises then the guy isn't in control, isn't motivating?
New career beckons

What about a bit of self-motivation, a sense of personal responsibility and professionalism among the players. They have contracts and are being paid to play football, not to select or determine via action or inaction who the manager is.
The vast majority of working and professional people have to work for and with people they do not particularly like. Its called a working relationship, most people get on with it and do their best.

At least the players didn't just down to tools like the Leicester lot. Watford secured survival quite easily, so in this instance of player power, I can't really fault their professionalism. They got on with their jobs, but we're unhappy their boss didn't put any effort into being able to communicate with them, instead relying on interpreters.
I agree players and agents have too much power nowadays, but in this instance I don't think the Watford players did too much wrong
