No Iheanacho in the top 50. A bit strange.

Shearer wasn't overburdened with silverware at the end of his career, let alone the beginning

True(he did win the pl at 24) but Alli isnt the best under 23 player in the world which was my point, which kind of dilutes the article when its done by an english paper and list an english player as the best!

on target for 20 goals from midfield this season at 20 years of age. pretty fucking impressive in my book. wish we had him...
who is your #1?

Not really midfield though is he?
Edit: I should add that it's impressive regardless

The fact that it was compiled by the Fail ruins it - we know what their opinions are worth.

Europe, not world.
But anyone can compile a list of players. What amazes me is that they put 50 in reverse order. Mammoth waste of time.

Three in the top ten. No one else has more than one. We are heading in the right direction in terms of lowering the average age of the team and doing it with top quality players.

The only other player we have in the list is Stones - it's been compiled by someone who only watches first team matches from this season (or someone who assumes that the only young players worth rating are the ones playing for the first team) which makes it kind of pointless in my opinion.

Same thing no?! Most of the big talents in world football are playing in Europe by 23.

Jesus
Two points:
Most is not all.
The list is of players up to 23, not 23 and over.
