Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

A huge impact on the game mate. The players responded excellently but should they have had to?
That penalty decision confirmed my suspicions about how bent these league's are. Everything was clear until an outside agent called the officials to what can only be described as a falling over without contact. They then had to somehow weave that into the play and call a penalty. After the Aguero debacle that was nothing less than an insult to football, we're now left with no doubt about what goes on behind the scenes.
The ref must've thought his integrity was really at stake following all that and had no choice but to go mad with the cards, even though warranted.
Through Adversity ( Per Ardua), that should be our new motto.
Either that Beefy, or the mock Latin phrase 'nil illegitimi carborundum'.

Good call OD, although it was looking pretty gruesome at several stages in the game.
Genuine question, but do City get involved in more truly exciting and memorable games, than any other side in the PL ??

Otamendi did foul him. It was a stupid challenge, but one of many he does every game.
My main issue is that I've never seen those officials ever make a decision. I honestly had no idea what their job was until then.
If they spotted Otamendi's foul, then they should have spotted the foul on Aguero in the first half.

UCL still is a bent competition and we all saw what happend tonight. In Monaco will be hell from the first minute. The refs will hunt us down from the start.
That being said, I am really proud of the boys.
Aguero was mediocre today. Mediocre and scored twice, played a huge part on two of the goals and was denied a penalty. If he is not the best striker in the world, then something really is wrong with this world.
I agree on everything apart from the ref doing what he did tonight. The powers that be cannot be too obvious and we're the club that will ensure that they are held to account.
Every English football fan who watched that game will be left under no illusions of how we are being targeted by UEFA and will take it to heart after seeing such a game where the English spirit shone through.
This was a game changer for us and if Gill and his cronies do get involved, everybody, even those die hards, will realise that their game is just WWE, results not actually being results but there just to keep hopes alive.
As they say, when all hope is gone .....

So, BT now concentrating on the negatives. Fucking 5-3 you pricks, a joy for your paying customers that you're now turning off.

I hope they showed Pep”s dance at 4-3. I looked all over the internet to see it again.

Here we go, they're now not going to focus on the negatives (why would you do that when there's 5 goals to talk about) but let's see how long that lasts?

They've all been very fair.
Clearly enjoyed the game, praising our attacking play and in agreement we should have had a penalty. Pointed out our defensive errors (of which there are plenty) but all looking forward to the 2nd leg. Just gave lots of praise to Sterling too.

They threw it in just before the finish, it was class.
Pep now realises he can win against the backdrop of UEFA trying to do is over. That was probably the biggest win for him tonight, but also under no illusion of where he stands with our club. This is not Barca or Bayern, you get no favours here.
