Is anyone actually bothering to stay behind and clap the players on Sunday whilst they do their lap of 'honour'?
I'm certainly not!

Another trophy and a chance to say thanks to pellers for 3 trophies in 3 years including a double whilst the rags have won nothing.
A chance to possibly say goodbye to many of those players who were part of the best city team I have ever seen.
Some people have been rather spoilt I think.

The fans sense of entitlement is disturbing. We are Manchester city not Manchester United. We don't need to turn into that shower of shite fan base.

Brilliant, that's just what I wanted really. You guys stay and clap so that means I can get out the car park straight away after the match. Excellent.

It's on TV. Why not stay home and avoid any queues?

I am expecting the stadium to be almost empty, especially if they put in another poor performance.
Another good advert on live TV.

the only thing i think we're entitled to is a group of players giving their all for the team. results are second to that.

As much as pellers has frustrated me this season and last I'd still like to think most will give him a nice send off and thanks for the hard work.
I genuinely think he's doing what he thinks is best and trying his hardest with what he has. Player power at any level can be hard to deal with, with multi millionaires in a profession that sacks any coach that loses a dressing room can't be easy. I'm not saying he's done well, but he'll get no abuses from me, some of the players deserve 10x the shit pellers gets in my opinion.
Tracking back is overrated.

I have and you are right - great post.
Also, we won another pot this year.
Pellers has made me proud of the way he has represented the club - a very distinguished gentleman under very difficult circumstances.
Bottom line re the players is that they have delivered trophies - passed out the Rags - and shown bottle doing it - this should be acknowledged as many will be on their way this summer.
I think it would be very churlish not to stay and acknowledge Pellers and the players this w/e.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with trophies. They could have won fuck all this year, but if they'd given 100% in every match I'd still stand there clapping them.
Just because we won one trophy doesn't excuse the fact our players just aren't arsed at all, so why should we bother staying behind to clapping them? Are they going to pay for every City fans ticket last night? Are they fuck!

After the display last night and on Sunday, they're lucky we're not greeting them with rotten fruit, never mind clapping them off.
The level of performance this weekend will have a huge impact on the attitude of the fans - another stinker and clapping them off the pitch will be the last thing on anyone's mind. A loss and our season could then into finishing 6th and winning the league cup - not sure that was the plan when buying two players for over £40m each last summer

A personal preference obviously. But it could be the last chance to say goodbye to a number of our squad and the manager.
Yes, the timing sucks a bit coming so soon after a semi final defeat but overrall Pellegrini has done well in his three years and has earned the right to a good send off IMO. But i can get why fans are pissed off right now. However in the grand scheme of things we are getting better and there is a new manager next year, who just happens to be the most sought after. Things are looking up
