Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

so who would you sacrifice from Ireland, de Jong and Barry to make way?
That's a good question but even bigger one is "who is available"? The way things are, Mancini doesn't have the luxury of waiting some promising South American get settled and fullfill his potential. He needs results NOW. January window is notoriously hard to get anyone decent signed no matter how much money you have got.
What I find strange is that very same people who more or less say that should Mancini not get into top four he should be sacked are whinging when he is signing quick fix players to get us there. I'm sure once his status is more solid, hopefully in summer, he will go for "oness for the futurr". We are already linked to Subutic and Kjaer who are probably two of the best young defenders in Europe.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

the obvious answer is 'no idea' which doesn't seem to be available. I haven't seen him play for years.
But I guess if Robbie Manc thinks he can do a 6-month job it's OK by me, as he actually seems to know what he's talking about.

kinell mate, if our previous manager were to make this type of signing, you would have hit the roof, of that I am 100% certain. Vieira is WAY past his best and will be found out easy enough.

Yes as we`ve not 1 true leader on the pitch barking orders etc which I think he brings. He`s a been there and done it player who will be respected by others maybe even Robbie or is that expecting too much.

I seem to recall critisising exactly TWO Hughes signings, Bellamy (I was wrong about him) and Santa Cruz (well he has played 11 times for us so far, so who knows).

It's a gamble.... and a very expensive one too. So I voted "no" for now because there was no "middle ground" option. Hope I will be proven wrong.
so now as every enemy circles our city

this is true, but I would prefer to buy someone who excited me and we knew would be a force to be reckoned with. Cant say I am impressed with this at all. Bad move IMO
We all would matey, but its January and these types of players you are craving just aren't available.
In summer they will though. Especially if we're in the champs league.

I put this on a par with Keegan signing Mcmanaman.
If it works out it will be great, if not it will unsettle the squad and potentially cause a couple of younger, potentially better players leave us.

And WHY exactly would it do that? Give me just couple of reasons. And who are those top young players who will leave? And who left us because of McManaman? And how did McManaman signing disrupt the dressing room? All I remember some youngsters at the time praising how much he has helped them in training ground. McManaman was shit for us, yes, but he also always comes through as genuinely nice guy and quite intelligent for footballer. I find it really hard to understand hwo he unsettled dressing room.
