David Silva used to be like this, it seemed he could only score if he didn't have time to think. If he did, he'd surely fuck it up. The thing is, Navas is what, 31? This is what we get.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Everyone knows it was John who was handy with getting it in the net, Jesus was only good with crosses.

That's twice he's got behind the keeper with the goal at his mercy. More Jeeeezuuuus than Jesus. So frustrating.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I'm used to him now. He's gonna be a cult hero here soon and I in no way want him moved on.
He will score fuck all goals every season and probably a handful of assists, but by God does this lad cause havoc amongst defenders.
He has the ability to be the best squad player we've ever had, if he isn't already.
No moans, works like a trojan and never stops running.
Like a better James milner really.

Just watching MOTD and seen him round the keeper, for a split second I thought "don't remember seeing him on the scoresheet earlier"
Shocking! Grow a set of nuts Navas and drive your boot through the ball!

Me too....just watched MOTD and his decision making in the two seconds he had just to calmly pass the ball into an open goal were staggering.
I agree his overall play is terrific...but that lack of balls to score is very poor......if the game was at 0-0 at the time we'd be giving him a very very hard time right now !!!

I would say awful miss, but he didnt even take the initial shot. For a professional that is poor. Still, his all round game is decent and we do look a better side with him in it

He does get some shit off fans which I could agree with last season but not this season. Not all players can be Sergio Aguero or David Silva, you have to have some decent squad players.
He has played well and done a job. He does lack confidence in front of goal but that will come back if he can break the back of it and nick one.

Next penalty we get he should take. I saw him take one for Spain in a Confederations Cup shootout and he put it away very comfortably indeed.
I like Navas. He is a great worker, helps his defender out yet still gets forward as well, has pace and makes the rest of the team more effective by his width. He would be on the teamsheet every week for me.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I'm also a firm believer in Jesus. He gives the team fantastic shape, and he's actually very good not only for speedy counters, but his ball control and awareness also suits our possession game. The fluffed chances are a bother, but for me he's a man for the starting elevn non the less.
A couple of games ago Sterling were subbed at half time for Navas and KDB moved out left, and the game totally changed to our advantage. A lot of people gave Sterling the blame for us not clicking in the first half, but in my opinion it was all down to bringing Navas on. I think we would have played just as well (or almost as great - KDB played a blinder) in the second half if Sterling had stayed on and Tintin had gone off.
Don't forget that at the start of the season, it was the Jesus/Raheem partnership that tore the opponents apart.

I think he's decent and puts in a shift which you can't fault. He's just not confident at all in front of goal. As long as he doesn't fluff anything like palace or yesterday against the rags next week I'm happy to see his name on the team sheet.

Does anyone know when his contract will expire? I never heard or read nothing about that.
For me, Jesus has some extraordinary work rate, he is amazing, I saw some statistics last season and he was the second most involved player in our goals, after Big Dave. Just imagine the way he is playing week in and out, if would also be a real finisher. He is a top pro, one of the best squad player in the league.
The likes of Milner and other cunts should learn from him.
I really hope he will gen a contract extension and most of all, Sevilla will give him a nice reception when we play them.
