Just wondering how the new work has effected the overall atmosphere in the ground so far?
The crowd certainly seemed to be at another level against Chelsea. Not been lucky enough to get over and prob won't until after Christmas.

So did they fit the new stand with some sort of self singing technology? Cuz it ain't working ...
Expnsion won't create atmosphere, people will ... it's just more of the same old in there now ... oh, and they too like to leave at 80 min mark.
Really frustrating, especially the Juve game.

It's come accross louder on telly each game so far compared to last season.
About the 70 min mark on weekend blue moon kicked in nice and loud and gave me goosebumps, so it ain't too bad.
Tracking back is overrated.

Definitely sounds louder on TV this year. NBC commentator mentioned it a couple of times and he wasn't behind the door about bringing up the cost of the City side, so I wouldn't say he was particularly pro-City.

Against Chelsea the whole of 114/5, 214/5 and 314/5 were allowed to stand. Since then 314/5 have been told to sit down and this has impacted on the atmosphere. The club needs to make up its mind what it actually wants. The supervisor told me it was for health and safety reasons. I asked why is it not a health and safety issue in 114 and 111, but he wouldn't reply.
They took the seat numbers of all the people who argued with them and persistently stood up.

I'm in the process of writing to the club to ask why I need to leave the stadium one minute after the match finishes every game. On Saturday the West Ham team were still on the pitch in front of the away fans when a steward came over and asked if I could leave my seat and make my way out of the stadium. I was literally sat there on my own after my brother had left to make his way home, I was on my phone texting and then the steward comes over and says that. So I went and sat on the bench across from the bars still inside the stadium, again just sat there texting waiting for the traffic to go down and I was asked to leave the stadium again. I've paid a stupid amount for my season ticket and I can't understand why I'm being shepherded out the stadium straight after the match. I remember years ago when they'd leave one bar open so people could get a drink before leaving. Why all of a sudden are they pushing people out straight after the final whistle?

It's not a usual thing, probably just the stewards wanting to get away. They have to do a sweep between the seats after the game so they don't want anybody around.

It was miles better than normally. Not as good as Chelsea, however. I guess it just depends on where you sit.

I think the singing and atmos has improved with the expansion. I moved from level 1 to level 3 this season. There is room for more improvement but I think it has helped.

What about whilst I'm sat on the benches where the bars are? They've done it a few times last season. Instead of standing around outside freezing in the winter they kicked me out whilst I was waiting inside for the traffic to die down. Just encourages people to leave early.

As an armchair fan I can say that the new stand has done wonders for the sound. The atmosphere sounds great and as a match going fan I think it's understandable when it goes quiet.
Nobody should complain about atmosphere unless they are at the game, and even then they shouldn't complain as it's them that should be making it.
What I can say is that the atmosphere is great in my house, with lots of expletives used.

A friend of mine is an architect and said on a couple of forums he looks on that City have applied for permission to extend the other stand around March/April time. Apparently delighted with attendances so far this season. I don't have any info on this just what I've heard so don't shoot the messenger! I'm at work so don't have time to do any digging but will research when I can!

314 were allowed to stand again on Saturday. Nobody was asked to sit down. The club needs make its mind up. If everyone is made to sit again next game there will be uproar with the stewards

TBH, Mase, I'm always one of the last out, and have never had stewards asking me to leave. I'm in 109
