I thought Yaya put in a tremendous amount of effort in the 2nd half and he was the closest to score for us but was unlucky with all his attempts. KDB was great also and its good that he has opened his account. He is a great addition to our side.

Thought Kevin was playing them by himself at one point! Looks a really good signing, very impressed by his work rate too!

Fern had an excellent game but was in part responsible or their 2nd goal as he went back instead of out when the corner went over.Yaya had a great 2nd half in terms of effort and goal threat when he was released further forward but he contributed to their first goal with by not being in position defensively when they broke.
KDB the MotM by far.

Misfiring at the front and with nothing behind our defence again (2 shots to save + 2 goals conceded was Hart being Hart), I had KDB as our most potent force but there were a number of great displays. If we'd swapped keepers before kick off then we'd have won by a handful.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I gave it to KDB, Fernie and Yaya were pretty close in the running though.

Be in love all you want but he just erased all the joy of the beautiful 5-game stretch he had going by laying that stinker on Saturday. At fault for both goals? One could argue that. Immensely shit everywhere else? Mostly.
cheers

He was definitely at fault for both goals......if you are blind and/or have an agenda.

I quite like Kolarov and definitely don't have any agenda against him, but his last few games he hasn't bee good. He started off great in the first four matches and the talk was that all he needs is a good run in the team. The lapses in intensity and concentration , have coincided with Sterling either missing or having a dip in his own concentration. Certainly the last couple of games I've seen Sterling in, he hasn't hugged the touchline as much, he has been drifting infield.
Kolarov's passing has become very hit and miss. His decision making has been poor, choosing to shoot from ridiculous distances instead of keeping the possession going. He's by no means the only one at fault in the two games we've lost, but far from the idea of him only needing a run of games, I think he needs competition. It looks at times to me that he is resting on his laurels or feeling too comfortable as a shoe-in on the team sheet.
I hope he shows the same levels of the first four games again, as I think he is a better option than Clichy. Clichy may be just as hungry though when he's fit.
