Did I forget to say that our defensive partnerships were outstanding?

They've got loads of defensive injuries Everton.

If he's going to Chelsea, Martinez will have a list of replacements. If it wasn't denayer it would be someone else, so I don't see we would be greasing the wheels for Chelsea at all.

D needs to stay with us and take his chances when they come. If he doesn't want to take the chance then he needs to fuck off and accept mediocrity.

I was thinking that as he scored the goal, but it's the Silva puzzle which I think amongst others you discussed previously. If you could even call it a problem, it's a problem to have Nasri and Silva in the same team. It has worked a treat under both Mancini and Pellegrini when we played with two forwards, because that would push the opposition's winger a bit back. With one forward though, we can't have both. And now Silva's playing so well in that second striker role, there'd be little point in putting Nasri there. Fuck what squad we have.

In this system I think we have to ask a big question about whether de bruyne would really add to what we have in the middle, as he certainly wouldn't have the workrate of Navas if we stuck him out wide

I can see us having to sell nasri if de bruyne comes in, which would be a shame given this system suits him and he would bring long shots to the table which silva lacks. It would be a shame to sell him without him finally getting a chance in the position we bought him for

Navas has been great tracking back but he frustrates the hell out of me going forward. Kdb's stats from last season suggest he'll be an improvement attackingwise. I have no idea what his defensive work ethic is like though.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Kevin De Fuckwit isn't really a direct replacement for Navas, and he's ginger.

Just saying.

Overall, a great win away to a resolute and confident Everton.

Agreed or were we just lucky?

Superb perfomance, was starting to worry when we couldn't find the net but credit to the team for being patient and another excellent defensive display too.

Whenever have you heard a commentator telling the world that they need to target a player already on a yellow.

And some people like this scum!

I thought exactly the same....terrible commentary.

Interesting that he said in the MOTD2 post match interview that we're going to sign a couple more players...what does he know?

Although we all have a go at BFS, he's actually a really good football bloke. He's met me (;-)) a few times and he's always had good things to say, since the takeover.

T'was interesting when he was sat next to Garry Cook at a doo, that's when I had my deliberations!

He certainly has contacts all lover England. Seems like his poinions have changed about City after a few people who used to work for him now work at City and they love it here.

Big Sam also singled out Brian Kidd for praise which is great to see. Kidd flies under the radar but has been an incredible coach for our club for almost 6 years now.

I don't think you're thinking at all about what you're saying. Even after a win and great performance away at everton, someone always has to have a moan.

He gets to train with the squad everyday and even being a part of the 1st team during matchday is good experience for someone as raw as Nacho. What ever happened to youngsters putting in the time before getting a chance?

Having a moan because I want a kid playing? It's called having an opinion.

Yeah, no shit it's called having an opinion. But your opinion is also wrong.

First, the game wasn't won, as we were only 2 goals up away at Everton. Second, we needed better hold up play uptop, which Bony is the man to turn to. Thrid, it's way more valuable for Bony to get a few minutes at the end to prepare him for upcoming games, than for Nacho to have a brief cameo. Very early in the season it's more important to get all the players up to speed than to feature fringe players as a luxury.

In my opinion (but you can say that for every post so what's the point).
