Will admit that made me grin like a Cheshire fucking Cat but Mangala showed what he offers against the 'best' tonight. Unlucky not to bag but good sign of things to come.

Team played well, but still need more from Sterling and Kolarov is still a liability defensively, first half at least.
Totally disagree. Kolo and Sterling worked very well today.
I think so as well, but I can see why one might think this as they both like to operate in similar spaces. Sterling did not really get to cut inside as much as he probably would have liked, gave the ball away more than against West Brom, and often found himself deep along the opposing touch line trying to create with very little space, where Kola likes to go to whip in his crosses.
I think Sterling did well today, and created a lot of space by adding the directness that we sorely have needed. When he one time ran at the Chelsea defence it was great to see. He will only get better. When Nasri came in you saw the difference in their styles to the team. Nasri primarily likes to bounce around playing one twos with Yaya or Silva, hoping to find tiny spaces. What this does is give us differing options in every game, and means defences have to suddenly approach one player far differently than the other as both have a lot of quality.

You know it's been a top performance when so many get names as MotM. I would have said only 3 players are not in the frame. Joe Hart didn't have a lot to do but made the key save at nil nil and is looking confident and in charge. Silva who was very good but not utterly brilliant as he was at WBA.And Sterling who is doing fine and clearly a plus with his pace and creating space for others but so far hasn't hi the heights. When he does he will win matches for us ...simples.
Great team performance today

Well said Doug.
I wonder if when Silva is too fired up he does not play as well. He still had a good game, but he was clearly frustrated by the foul calls against him and seemed too wound up at times. Some of his passes were not quite up to his very lofty standards, but his two corners for goals are still shocking me after last season.
Also, anyone still want to doubt how Bony helps us even when he does not score?
His hold up/link up play is top class...the man is truly a beast, and team player with a great touch and good vision. Even in a brief appearance he let us know he was there, especially on that last hold up play in midfield...whoof!
Very pleased for Vinnie who also did well overall, and a great header. TBF, he did make two mistakes I can recall, one was that silly yellow card, and another a bad pass that he should not have made that forced Mangala to take a yellow he shouldn't have received. I'd still like to see those go away as Mangala was even better. How can we sell him now? Madness, which I do not think will happen.

David Silva got two assists...not sure why this doesn't make him in contention for MotM, but fuck you guys the lad is getting my vote.

Says a lot really, Hart was flawless, and hasn't got a vote.
I've gone F1, but really the whole lot were brilliant.

That's not a bad shout for the future is it? Sometimes it's almost too difficult to pick one.
Like this time I could've easily gone for Sagna, Silva, ze Mangler just for example but in the end intuition said Aguero for breaking the deadlock so I went for him.

I loved his charge down for the assist to Fernie - it typified his entire game. I love watching him play.

Kolarov was magnificent on both ends, even picked up the 3 bonus points on FPL ahead of all the goal scorers and you are giving it to Sagna? Must be on crack, mate!

Kolarov can't be man of the match ever game mate. I went for Sagna because I didn't want people to think I'm bias towards Kola

Yep.
For the third he dispossessed hazard at our corner flag and was at their box to tackle ivanovic leading to F1's goal. Quality work all round. Class performance.

for the second week in a row there was a clear best player on the pitch (Silva last week, Aguero this week) but once again I went for Fernandinho. he was absolutely immense. great positioning, tackling, effort, energy, etc.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
