Technically brilliant, better than most already and you can't really stop moves like that little drop of the shoulder where he darted towards the goal. Neither Clichy or Kolarov can do that... He'll get stronger and fill out over time and his low centre of gravity and generally robust attitude will ensure he's not easily nudged off the ball.

I do wonder if he will end up as a full back down the road. Maybe could end up a winger or a no. 10? I haven't seen enough, but will he be strong enough to be an out and out defender?

His own pronunciation seems to be the former, but NYCFC website uses the latter.

Jose Angel Tasende, I think he prefers to be more Brazilian than Spanish, hence the INO added on. I dont think thre is a right or wrong way as its not his real name, its his preferred name choice

I think it's pronounced Maffeo.

Of course there is a right way if it is the name he's chosen. You wouldn't say Ronaldino, would you?

This is fantastic. He's such a strikingly confident young man, and his English is impeccable. He's also a helluva lot brighter and intelligent than the average English footballer too.

I remembered the name as soon as I pressed to post it and I agree he is an Alba clone.
