The fact that they haven't moved on suggests to me that nothing is off the table yet.
Like I said before, City have said feck all to the media, apart from two bids for Sterling, which come to think of it seemed to be leaked by the Dippers.
They may have moved on already, they may never have been officially in for any of the 3 the media said were our targets.
I would think they are though and the silence suggests that nothing is over.
I'd much rather have it this way, than the Sterling media circus generated by the Liverpool loving pundits and press. Whether we get any of them or not, City are acting in a far more professional and dignified manner, in my book.
I wasn't one to advocate the signing of Sterling in the first place but I'd have him out of sympathy alone now. I think the way he is being treated and has been treated by the club and their fans is absolutely appalling. Pogba? I think signing him is more of a statement by City if it happens, than an absolute necessity. I think getting him ahead of Barca or Rael or PSG would send a message to the world. I take the reports of City distancing themselves from the deal as just more media speculation. They haven't got a clue, no more than we do.
Same with De Bruyne I'm sure. If they happen, they happen. I think the media are as much in the dark as we are.
Nature hates a vacuum and that's why it created the sports media to fill it with noise.
Until we get something officially from City on any deals I'll neither praise or condemn our management team. I would have liked some players in by now and I would imagine City would too. In my mind that suggests that the targets that they are working on are still very much alive.
