Pellegrini asked about Pep rumours. I didn't hear anything and nobody told me. Pretty much a dead bat.

Not my first choice , left Barca when the going looked like it was getting tough and apart from a miracle on Tues will have failed with Bayern.

Would love Simeone.

The only thing we were missing this year was the urgency and workrate in winning the ball back when we lost it. We had everything else, high defensive line, possession based football, movement going forward and goals.

One of the first things Pep would try to install is the complete team workrate in winning the ball back, keeping all other tactics that the team and more importantly the academy are familar with.

Klopp or Simone would require to much of a tactical change throughout the whole club

You clearly don't understand how Simeone sets up a team OR you fancy some bullshit I hate. Either way....

Im not sold on Pep as a person, but he seems like one of a rare breed of managers that takes a team by the scruff of the neck and carries the whole organization (kind of like Ferguson and in part Wenger).

Over the last few years we have taken giant leaps when it comes to becoming a more professional outfit and i cannot think of any manager that can make us take another step, other than Guardiola.

He demands perfection, REALLY demands it, seems to integrate all the aspects of modern football (like nutrition etc.). We are very pro at alot of stuff but seems like that culture of demanding excellence, demanding victory is not there. If we've had that mentality we'd be in the title race this season.

So even with his baggage, even if he does not win anything, Guardiola could be as good for us as Manicini was. Taking us another step upwards towards being a through and through pro team.

Peps apparently stated he'll be at bayern next season so unless they are planning on sacking him, it's Pellergrini for another season, which I am perfectly fine with

Saw on Twitter that Pellegrini said he'd made clear 200 times he would be at Bayern next season and 'that's that'. Suspect that the gossip forced his hand. Maybe that was the point.

The wording is peculiar though. "I have another year on my contract, I will stay next season."

To me, that sounds like he's off next summer.

Same here, but I think the sack (or rather a 'gentlemen's agreement' where Pep leaves & they make money out of us) is a very real possibility.

If only he'd put (source, BeIN sports) at the end, Richard Keyes would already be reporting it as being from a reliable BeIN Sports source.

If Pep doesn't come, there's gonna be a lot of people come out of this with very damaged credibility now

Richard Keys is standing by it & says he got the tip off before his colleagues reported it.
