Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Overall a decent game. I have noticed a bit of a pattern though. You can't help but get a sense of deja vu when watching the EDS. The team starts poorly, goes in behind at half-time and then one or two changes are made and there's an immediate and concerted fightback that usually turns the game around in City's favour. Can't question the teams spirit, as they fight back well but we always seem to get the starting line up wrong and we always start badly. It doesn't show up too well on Vieira that on face value, but I dont think its as simple as that as I do believe he's told to give players like Drury and Horsfield games as they need to find clubs too. They're useless sat in the stands...it surely has to be that cos they're not in the team on merit as there are many better than them. Who knows?
Oh and as ever, great to bump into you again Doug and it was really nice to meet you, John68!
Holistic.
And great to hear John68 is still alive. At his age it's no certainty! ;-) Shame he doesn't post anymore. Those '68 tapes were one of my favourites
Ps. Thanks for the report twosips

It's not a new thing and I believe effectively signals that City are going to release the player and this gives another club a chance to look at him. Not sure how often it happens but I am aware of it going back a number of years.

He's got talent that lad. Just has somehow not quite got going at City. Perhaps he never will, but at the younger age group, he was a clever & skillful player.

Hiwula's done well at Walsall. Often played out on the left but when inside he's scored for them often. He got these two last week.

So, how will the team look on friday now we have Cole, Hiwula, Fofana and Leigh all back?
Could be a very strong team we put out!

Tbh they shouldn't really be hugely involved. It'd be a bit unfair on the lads who got them there and there's nothing to say that Cole would be better than Barker, or Hiwula and Leigh better than Iheanacho and Angelino. Fofana maybe instead of Ntcham, but i'd maybe put one or two on the bench and thats it.

I would second that. Assuming they are all available a role on the bench but even then not if it means other key players in the success to date have to be left out altogether.

Be interesting to see the side vs the rags though. I imagine they will have Januzai, Powell, their two 22 year old cbs, and perhaps Falcao & DiMaria etc.
Perhaps we will use a couple of our older lads due to the number of games.

Don't forget Valdes. I expect we will throw some experience in the team albeit not first teamers and fully fledged internationals.

I have ordered tickets for this, is it at Carrington, Altrincham or OT? Anybody know? The OS doesnt say on the EDS fixture list.

Cheers Doug, yes it is, tickets just arrived. I see we have been given the usual North East quadrant Tier 1
