Indeed. He's embarrassing.

Fortunately, I'm in Malta ATM, and saw the game on Italian Sky, far more civilised.

Yep, similar to the Liverpool game last season, spunking himself when they scored, sounded like he was handing out news that a close relative was terminally ill when we equalised.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

He really does write his script at the start of the season doesn't he? Sadly for him I think we're fucking with it.
Did you hear him during BaconFace's last season? You would think they had 11 amateurs out there and it was all about Bacon and his genius leading his team to victory against overwhelming odds.

Having watched them last season, I think we all underestimated how good Taggart was. That team has had £200m spent on it since he was in charge and is still nowhere near as good. I presume the £3m they're still paying him is part of the contract he entered into with Beelzebub

I did a quick search for Martin Tyler Manchester City and found
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2024900/Martin-Tylers-20-favourite-Premier-League-moments.html on the Daily Mail (that most reputable of all National newspapers)
OK, so there's a few in the top 20 from the rags including this one but it's mainly about us:
15. Manchester City's Munich tribute
February 10, 2008
The Manchester derby which I thought was an outstanding day was the 50th anniversary of Munich. The behaviour of the Manchester City and the whole tone of respect was impeccable. I was alive when the plane crashed – I have hazy childhood memories of it – and for anyone who was alive at that time, it was a massive deal. I was concerned about what I would say if the fans behaved badly, what tone to take. I was feeling reverential but happily so was everyone else. City won the game through Benjani and Darius Vassell and I thought it was a wonderful time for the integrity of the Premier League. It summed up what a lovely club City are and it is as if the good behaviour has been rewarded. It was great to be there the night they qualified for the Champions League.

Just to make clear, I can't stand the guy. These comments are at odds with his lack of professionalism when commentating on our games

Couldn't have sounded any more disappointed with us getting that penalty.
Utter twat.

So basically, he's saying Newcastle were good, but they still got beat 5-0. Fine

What I took from his commentary was that if they hadn't made that early mistake to give us a penalty, they'd have probably won.

Did I actually hear ratboy compare Edin being fouled for the penalty to Rooney's dive against some 3rd division team?

He really did, I've just seen it.
Tyler was verging on being neutral imo, but Neville is now just doing the commentary as a Utd fan. He gives City plenty of compliments, but it's done in a voice of impending doom, like someone hiding behind a tree recognising that the bloke who is shooting at him, is really good, & getting closer & sooner or later, wil pick him off. He said 'brilliant football' at one time, in the voice of someone telling his kids their dog has been run over. I bet he keeps switching off the mic & saying 'bastards'.
He is really worried.
Which is great.
Robbie Savage is equally worried. And also about the rags. He gave them the kind of impassioned slaughtering only a true fan could.
