On his performances the Mirror may well be right.
Point though - FIFPRO already had an input into our 'punishment' - surely he (or anybody else) would have a very strong legal complaint against UEFA - especially if we win the cursed thing?

Sagna has been miles better this season than Kolarov. Harsh if he has to go, but I suppose we have more cover there, if you count Kolarov as a viable option as a player, which I don't on his recent performance level, but you never know; he might get his shit together.

Might it be as simple as whoever is injured for the longest when the squad is announced is the one to make way

About the most intelligent and thoughtful comment so far.

Sagna has to play vs Barca ffs, he's the best 1v1 defender at the club. Zaba has looked awful against any half decent wide player over the last 12 months. I'd be disgusted if Sagna is dropped.

Unless nobody has a long term injury at that exact moment of course, which is reasonably likely, then all the comments made by everybody in this thread are just as valid & thoughtful as any opinion you might have & indeed become much more valid than this one.

Of course, all true.
However, when was the last time we didn't have an injury to just one of our squad?

Will have to be longish term to affect the decision, & even then, it will still only apply to a few players, unless someone is out for the season. You wouldn't drop an injured Aguero for instance, even if it was only the semi final or final he had a chance of making.
Unless someone has a serious injury, likely it will be decided on merit. Could tip the scales if one of Kolarov or Sagna was injured.

I'm glad I don't have an 'agenda' against Kolorov :)
him for me. Even seems like he might have been told. Angelino sounds decent.
