Just before we scored the first goal, there was a move of about 60 passes. I thought it was sensational football. After about 30 passes, it just sort of kept going and was almost funny, we are brilliant sometimes.
After the ball was centred, after the whistle blew...

Agreed. Watching the "super Sunday" games really highlighted how superior our style of football is when we're on song.

Master class would love to see us do that at the Bridge. Magic to watch last Saturday.

I'd have to agree Ted, it certainly seemed to me that we were playing in a slightly different way on Saturday. There seemed to be much more direct purpose to our movement, as if we were forcing the opposition to dance to our tune rather than just probing for an opening or opportunity.

I know we knock it around like a team of heroes but I loved Sunderland's goal yesterday.

I'll reserve judgement on that for a couple more games.

To my eyes we have been doing what we should have all along, maximising our strength which is our midfield ability. In a world where the best teams in the toughest games play 5 man midfields its ludicrous to play 442 given our resources. Hopefully this will now be our default setting.
