Dead right. A team who's shite at home & couldn't beat the average paperboy's 11 is usually a sure fire certainty to knock City out of the FA Cup. It's almost a fucking tradition. Take no chances with this one City!

Last time I was up there many years ago we were all in great spirits . Media asked us who our favourite player was & everyone said 'Dennis Bailey' as he'd just ruined rags Christmas with a hat-trick at the swamp. So of course City had to make that pleasure short lived as always & we got knocked out by some no mark running past Steve Redmond as if he was wearing concrete boots.

Yeah, fucking robbed mate! beats everyone on the park, slots in a beauty and the daft twat disallows it?? Was he active though:-/ Unbeleavable!
I will never ever ever recover from that. It was a fucking disgrace, he ran from our own half, and scored yet it was given offside because Huckerby was somewhere near the fucking corner flag,
CUNTS, I KNOW IT WASNT THE KIDDY SHAGGERS FAULT BUT I WILL ALWAYS DEEM IT SO - and after they fucking rejected my bet (I had tiatto at 32/1), they threw me out for smoking

I'm pretty sure Mancini will take Boyatta first and Vidal also very close to him along the training week and if he looks potential and attention in understanding tactic will very probable starts Boyatta aside Kompany in FA cup sat. fixture.
He is used to launch talented unders providing that they show to be cool and learning at trainings.
For what I have understood Boyatta seems to be one of those... hopefully.
Then for the rags we need to lucky with market, but frankly I'm not so positive about, because Big players fm big teams hardly move along the season.

why did you have to fucking mention that? I've seen bad calls but surely that tops all time list. Heartbreaking as well and I honestly believe we wouldn't have gone down.
About original subject, we need a stop gap central defender early in the window. Shame about Ned as this would've been his big chance to shine.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I think the unsung hero in all of this is Kompany. He's had two solid games and held his position well. If Micah understands that Kompany is the co-ordinator for him, he ( Micah) can do a good job at CB, taking the first defender, because Micah has the speed and strength over those critical first few metres. Kompany has better peripheral vision and can read the game well, so I would expect him to be the one giving the orders. Micah tends to move towards the centre when playing at right back, perhaps it's where he feels more comfortable. He also loses concentration and Vince will be a good boss for him there I think.

I agree with this he has had experience there before unlike Zab so we got no choice really.

Well if we can't get anyone on the market immediately and if he plays boyata against Boro, and the lad plays well, why not insist on him against the rags? My first choice would be a back line of:
Zabba Richards Kompany Sylvinho/Garrido
but if one of the young lads plays against Boro and does it well, I wouldn't rule out for Mancini to insist on him.

I'm happy with Richards as a stop gap but I reckon we definately need one for the first team in January

Agree 100% with that. I thought Vincent was exceptional last night. Powerful and dominant in the air and now once again looks comfortable with the ball at his feet.
The last two games have seen a pleasing reduction in the amount of times any of the defenders lumps a ball aimlessly upfield and Vincent has played a big part in that for me

That seems sense to me.
I don't follow european football and don't know a Cordoba from a pint pot but if the manager feels its sound I would go with that.
Indeed no harm on either side aswell mate if we give him a 6-month deal. He's played for Inter since 1999 and in that time has been tracked by the Rags and Real Madrid, so he obviously has something about him.
Best option for me on a short term contract only because of his age. Micah is (very) slowly getting a bit of confidence back, to put him in central defence at this stage, imo, would only see him regress further

I reckon Cordoba will be a blue by the 2nd jan, and although not ideal, I'm sure he'll hold his own for a month. He's had a good career with good teams and is a seasoned pro. He'll be fine.

Premier League side Manchester City have made an initial approach to lure promising Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci to Eastlands during the January transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Bonucci has excelled at Bari in the first half of this season after moving to the San Nicola on a co-ownership deal from Genoa last summer.
And the pink paper claims that the City directors have already contacted both clubs to enquire about the player’s availability after new boss Roberto Mancini identified the Inter youth product as the right man to reinforce his back-line.
Bonucci graduated from the Nerazzurri academy while ‘Mancio’ was in charge of the club and was given his senior debut in a Serie A match with Cagliari on May 14, 2006.

Checked over the Gazzetta website and the actual last new related to an alleged € 15m from the rags dated dec 3rd.
http://archiviostorico.gazzetta.it/2009 ... 3012.shtmlNo mention about bids from us in spite of a quite comprehensive coverage of yday events.

Between Given and Kompany, I am sure there will be no leadership issues. Didn't Vinnie where the band a couple of times last season?

CB's BREAKING NEW - KJAER
According to a breaking banner on SKY ITALIA SPORT NEWs CHANNEL late this morning, the young and promising PALERMO'S Danish center back SIMON KJAER has been reported to REFUSE a CITY's bid on direct quote: "Thanks. I only want for Italy".
Congrats Simon! Hope your brain is corrently diverted by engagements on some hot sycilian pussies, otherwise serious concernes on your accountancy skill and overall cleverness....
By the way, according to my personal "erection- O-meter", Eastlanders Beaties still continue to be preferred so far... :-)
Most seriously, another argument on the CL spot issue.
The good is the Club is proven to be already on a busy way to enforce the rooster sole weakness.
