The biggest surprise of them all should they avoid the drop.

West Brom looked like a very poor side being made to look like world beaters.

After the week-end's games, although it's still very early days yet, Arsenal are now nicely placed to finish the season in their customary fourth spot.......or, as someone on this forum referred to it as, winning "The Wenger Trophy".
In fact, 'Whinger' reminds me of a chess player in the first part of last century called Richard Teichmann. He was a good player but he was unadventurous, not prepared to take risks and was also somewhat lazy, preferring to go through a tournament simply avoiding defeat and just doing enough to get into the lower prize money levels. In his tournament career, he finished so many times in fifth place that his nickname became "Richard the Fifth".
At the end of the day, 'Whinger' always seems to be afraid to take the ultimate risks and break the bank by signing expensive players, with a view to trying to win the title. Moreover, for all the possession football they play, his teams invariably don't seem completely happy to burn their boats by going on all out attack. They are a good side on their day, but their practical ethos now seems to be to simply achieve one of the Champions League places each and every year and that seems to be a satisfactory achievement for them, in itself, with the additional revenue it will bring.
I just hope that, at the end of this season, 'Arsene IV' and his not so merry band of men finish (well) outside the Champions League places and suffer the indignity of having to play, instead, in the Europa. The shock waves which would then fracture through that horrible Club could be well worth witnessing.

Apparently Pardew is to be replaced by Pulis, are they getting their scummy manager quota for this century out of the way early?

Surely Moyes be better for them? Cant see the Geordies taking to Pulis, they think they have a god given right to play attractive football...

If the answer is either Moyes or Pulis, then it's a very depressing question being asked.

More like the nuclear button, to be fair. However, let's hope Pardew stays in situ until after we meet them in the cup, we don't want any upturn in form until after then.

Saw the 2nd half. What a non-event that was. Honestly watching paint dry is more interesting than that.
