Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I don't get excited by the transfer window/deadline activity as it's so difficult to separate the substance from the hype, agent sales pitches and other assorted bollox.
Now though, we can set the definite shape of each club's squad for the next four months. I'm interested to know if people think all this recent activity (the last week or so) has changed how they expect the season to pan out.
I originally expected Chelsea and City to dispute the title, with Arsenal in third, rags vs dippers for fourth, then Everton and spurs fighting it out before that. After the first couple of games I thought I had overestimated the rags/scousers, but I now think the signing if Falcao, Di Maria and Mario justify my original theory.
Despite the piss-taking opportunities it affords, Wellbeck's move to Arse should help them; for all his limitations he works hard and puts some of their more gifted players to shame.

i think the last few windows have indicated that it has had it's day if you'll pardon the pun and I think the rise of the "ITK" folk in the papers has taken some of the excitement out of it, far too much bullshit gets reported and more often than not it doesn't happen - I think it apex'd with the "robinho to city" day

It absolutely peaked with our deadline day takeover and they have been living off that ever since.
Still, too many games were being played during the seasons before the takeover and at least silly season is largely left outside of it now.
Ssn are ridiculous with how excited they pretend to be and clubs use "last minute deals" to grap peak PR.
A necessary evil I suppose.

Anyway, what's mildly interesting is how sky have turned the day into "A Sky Event Day". It has become less about football and more about media masturbation
