He actually looks half good now. He's also resting well as he hasn't played even 1 minute yet. Good for us !

id like to see him get some time. he seems to have played himself into form for us last year so i hope not playing for awhile doesn't seem him fall out of form. although, last game would've been the opportunity. now he'll only play if someone gets suspended or injured.

Must be in with a shout of some game time. The two that have played there up to now haven't exactly covered themselves in glory

played pretty well today after a shortened vacation. for me, his familiarity with Vinnie makes him the partner for Kompany on Monday over Mangala

It's a bit of a tricky one for pelligrini, I would like to see martin d start next Monday.

Yes. MDM vs Scousers, Mangala against Stoke after another week working with the squad.

given his form starting from the 2nd half of last season and continuing all the way through the WC and through our first 2 league games I don't think there's any way Mangala should get in the squad ahead of him.
pace isn't everything and Demichelis has looked great.

He also looks like this guy
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

his form has been generally quite good, there is no need to rush mangala in, but MDM did make a few mistakes last night, but maybe that's just early season rustyness.
Still it looks like Mangala will be eased in over the coming weeks and rightly so, its a long season.

Pellegrini said last night that he doesn't think The Mangler will be ready for Stroke and will look at where he's at after the international break.

on the back of a month of it plus a month build up and a couple weeks wind down....why the fuck not, right? I will say tho that i enjoyed the WC more than i ever have after about a decade of loving this sport. It was a pretty fun tournament, but i don't need any more international footy for a while.
They could actually squeeze all the real matches starting in spring 2015. This is just a bullshit exercise. I hope all our players have a serious case of the runs/food poisoning before the matches and have to sit out as a "precaution."
cheers

He's still better than most other CBs in the top half of the league and knows our system 100%.
Lack of pace, but I'm satisfied with his work so far. Excited for Mangala but no rush (especially w/ Fernando shielding the defence very well).
