Mail just reported City want Lampard for a 6 moth loan deal until he joins NYFC. Would be in CL and PL squads.

Quite a shrewd signing if true.
Always rated him higher than 'Stevie'.

"I don't want him, you can have him, he's too old for me".
What's being reported is he said he wasn't going to Melbourne and we want him to go to one our clubs so he's left with one option. But why the hell would we want to bring in an old player to take a roster spot for CL or PL when it is now one of our deepest positions. Yaya, ferdi, the octopus, javi and young zuc. I think this is some shit made to sell papers. He can come train with us but I don't want him on any rosters.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Firstly, its squad not roster.
Second, he wouldn't be taking anyones spot as he is english. At the moment it looks like we won't be having a full squad anyway because we don't have the english players. He would be a useful backup during unforeseen injuries, like when we had Demichelis in Midfield

Really? that would've made sense to me. i'm with SSB, can't see him joining us.
and I'd rather see Zuculini or Huws (tho didn't he go to Wigan?) in the squad. we
should be ok until yaya fucks off to ACN..that's when he might be useful in the squad, especially IF we are in LC semis

Super Super Fat Super Fatty Lampard.
I am pleased two fingers up at UEFA. Get NYCFC to buy players and loan them to City. As long as NYCFC don't sign Olaf Melberg.

Great pro to have around the place. Been a top player for years and years and will pass on his knowledge and experience to the younger lads. I personally don't have an issue with it. Can't see him getting a great deal of playing time.

Sky sports news is reporting it now aswell on a 6 month loan deal! Got too say I wouldn't be to disheartened if we did sign him, add experience to the squad and would be an extra option for the league cup to fill a gap I guess!

Bang on. His experience will be invaluable round training ground, not unlike Vieira would have been. Plus, if we do have injury problems he's not a bad squad player to have.

I'm not sure if I'm readin this thread right but as he's already signed for City (NYCFC) then he'll need a club to train/play with until the MLS starts (March isn't it). Therefore, the best option for him, and us, is to come over to the light Blue side for a while.
I like Fat Frank, always puts in a shift and would be great as a back-up. He's still better than Gerrard in my eyes and would be a good pro to have around our youngsters on the training ground.
No brainer for me.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

No qualms with Frank on loan, top pro with plenty of knowledge to pass on to the younger lads.I always quite liked him as a player one of the best goal threats I've seen from midfield, maybe he has a few cameo appearances left in him yet.
