Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

My mum has been informed she needs to relocate her front row season ticket in the North stand. Due to installing extra seats.
Anyone know what's going on? Are we trying to squeeze in some temp seats while the South stand extension is built?

Aren't they adding 3 rows of extra seating all around the pitch? God help them when it's raining!

Yes I'm sure Beefy's right. 2000 extra seats seems to ring a bell.

Will be an amazing sight once finished but there's going to be a little discomfort along the way.
I take it everybody's seen the pictures?

I got a letter on Friday saying I'd have to change my seat as I'm next to the aisle on 118. Really pissed off about it a I've had the same seat since the stadium opened and have already renewed for next season. They say I have to chooses new seats on Monday at 9.00 - not exactly a lot of notice.

I assume this is temporary move? If so for how long? Agree it's far from suitable notice, there is bound to be at least a couple who are away on holiday or business!!

Edit: Never mind, if you mean the artists images of how it will be when done ... I thought there are pictures of seats being taken out, work in progress from inside Etihad already ...

Sorry but if folk kept up with the stadium expansion plans this would not be a surprise.

Agreed. However, you might assume that the people responsible for allocating season ticket seating wouldn't have been taken by surprise and would have given more than one working day's notice of relocation!

I think it's a case of Blue's having to renew first before they could be informed otherwise it's pointless if they didn't renew as the seat would be empty.
Gone are the days when we'd all stand in the queue around the ground to ensure we got our tickets. Most people do it by way of the website nowadays so it's not even as if they can get to ask the question.
