So obvious why the writers put Gerrard ahead of him as player of the season

Pathetic fuckers. As usual they planned on the English love-in, getting the back pages ready for the Stevie Starfish wank-fest, just like they'd planned with the Taggart 20 (not United) in the 20th year.
Gerrard is not a patch and Suarez has still continued to be a cheating cunt, in how many games?
Yaya is heads and tails the best player this year and whatever anybody says will not change my opinion.

Nothing on earth was going to stop him once he started that run. I'm glad he got number 100.

Lol Id love that..
But it appears we have different tactics depending on
1. The state of play
2. Time of game

In Yaya we trust. Best player to play for Man City. Best all-round player in the PL ever. You cannot stop him no matter how hard you try. The definition of 'midfielder' will never be the same again.
We are some lucky fans to be able to call him our own!

Not saying he's better than any of them (couldn't judge fairly as he's the only one I've watched every week for several years), but surely he's got to be considered alongside Vieira, Scholes, Lampard and Fabregas at the top table of Premier League midfielders now.

I hope this fella is suitably embarrassed
He'll be one of the pricks that voted for Gerrard.

I thought someone said Yaya tied the goalscoring record for a midfielder...Lampard had 22 and Yaya "only" has 20.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

The only 'record' that TV mentioned was that he was the first midfielder to score 20 since Lampard in 08/09

Me too, I bet poor old KK is getting fed up with it getting bumped every match after Yaya's played another blinder.

Regardless of the name of this thread Yaya is a god. To me he is our most important player. He turns hopeless games into wins. When he is on his game I love watching him. I wouldn't swap him for anyone else in the premier league. Even Jonny Evans...

I agree . I think there was also someone even more recently (this year) who said he doesn't perform in the big games.
