The best defensive pairing we have seen all season didn't involve Kompany ... and no, even Lescott wasn't there ... it was when Demi and Garcia got together at Hull after Kompany's red ... so might not be a bad thing.

My fucking Lord, NO. The speed and trickery of Suarez and Sturridge compared to the likes of Jelavic and Long is beyond comparison. The difference in that game was that we closed out the midfield and screened the back four, only playing Dzeko forward.

Hull was a good game where it proved playing one up front works and I'd like to see the same today, utilising Dave in the number 10 role. What I don't want to see is Garcia and DM partnered with each other, although I wouldn't mind him sitting infront of the defence, giving and extra line covering.

Kompany is world class and on his day can properly handle Suarez as he has handled Rooney.Without him I would hope and expect it to lift the troops to perform even better to win it for him but if Suarez then has one of his best games we wouldn't be able to handle him.A draw would be a great result.

As Pellers mentioned Doug, go for the win and if we come away with a draw then you've got to be happy.

My kind of thinking.

Hopefully he will but only if he's 100%. Not worth him being their if he's carrying an injury and could only make it worse for the run-in.

Your mate is playing, Breks? Glad to hear it!

I can't see us losing this game, whoever plays. They have a good forward line but the rest is mediocre to shit. As long as the ref stays strong this could be the defining day of our season.

I for one hope that this is true and that he's not a bellend because we need both Kompany and Kun for this one. Is there any way you could find out for sure? Our collective pre-match peace of mind is fragile at best, so I'm hoping he's right mate. Thanks for the heads up though.

All I can say is that the source knows the players and staff well enough that she got a christmas hamper off Vinny , Pellers and Brian Kid. Nice it was to, contained £500 and champagne. So I would imagine the info is quite reliable.

No. I think she does something to do with player welfare.
