Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

If we had played our 2 in hand matches and won them (both are at home and very winnable) we would be on 76 points and the dippers on 74. 2 points ahead which means a draw at Anfield changes nothing and is in our favour more than theirs. I hope Pellers will be pragmatic and strengthen our defensive side by playing 3 DM's (Yaya, Ferdi and either Garcia or Milner). Let's play them like the Sunderlands and Stokes play us, i.e. park the bus and no silly high defensive line which they can exploit with their speed.
They will to come at us as they need the win and we are more than able to hit them on the counter. Jesus will be important for that with his pace.
I will be happy to come away with a point from Anfield although I think we can still get all 3 points if we play a disciplined game. Yes, they can score but we also can score and score more. I hope Kun will play a part and he will be up for it but I can only see him coming on in the last 20 minutes (if he is needed).

My only concern next week is how daft Martin will cope with Suarez and the quick feet of Sturridge. An extra body in midfield will help which for me would be Milner. They press like mad so our passing accuracy will be crucial. If we get that right I think we can win.

A defensive screen from Garcia would work wonders. The problem is not Suarez or even Sturridge, it's the very quick runners they have in midfield who we need to track and squeeze for space. Garcia, Fred and Yaya in a 4-5-1 and I'd be tempted to start JoJo for the counter.

I'm totally pissed off with this Liverpool love-in at the moment. After the match today Sky had 3 programmes about them. Totally sucking their arses.
I think they are bricking it at the moment. I know we didn't play particularly well yesterday but if we have the right attitude we will do them

The keys to beating liverpool are
1. Follow their midfield runners
2. Mark gerrard tight and dont let him pass long balls
3. Dont be too aggressive on suarez around the penalty area

1.Agree.
2.Ferna will sort that out.
3.Dont tackle them within 20 yards of the box or it will be a penalty.

We have the best squad in the league. The stage is set for us to prove this.

Exactly - in virtually every area of the pitch we outclass them
If we're good enough to win the league we should approach this game with no fear

Their game plan has already started. Fucking tub thumping in the press radio and tv all fucking week. Forget going there by coach, the team may as well arrive on the fucking death star

You should know it's not me really, I've always had the nous, it's just taken you 17198 posts to realise it.

Precisely.
Let them do all the worrying, whilst we forget all this talk about somehow stopping them and keeping it tight in midfield.
We should go to Anfield looking to play them off the park and attack them from the first minute. I want their 'keeper to contract lumbago through picking the ball out of their net.

Clattenburg, Webb or Mason I reckon.
I have no evidence these refs are bent, but I don't trust them at all.

Interesting that Rodgers cant open his mush these days without mentioning how the pressure is all on City, and also dropping in how much money we've spent. I suppose Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Enrique, Sakho, Cissohko, Allen, Henderson, Coutinho, Sturrdige, Suarez et al were all free then Brendan? He sounds like he's trying to convince himself, but you do get the feeling we will be pissing on everyone's parade - including 90% of the media pundits - if we dare to actually get a result next sunday, as you'd think its a Liverpool procession at present and City and Chelsea are simply there to make up the numbers.
We need to go there with our full attention but also letting them worry about us too. Say nothing in the press, just let our football do the talking.
One other thing - if you are a Blue lucky enough to have a ticket in our end next sunday, please be loud as fucl and get right behind them vociferously and continually.
Of the team that played on Saturday, Clichy in for Kolarov, and Garcia in for Navas.

Well that is just a little bit disturbing.
We all know they want them to win it, but absolutely no way should they be openly showing it.
