A shocking signing if it were to happen. Dead against this. Not a massive Micah fan, but a 3 year deal on upwards of £75k a week for a 30 year old full back who isn't as good as Zabba? Not now, not ever

Yes. He is not a left back.
Kieran Gibbs is their LB...tho you wouldn't be alone if you'd said The Ox.

As a back up right back he's fine for free. Zaba will always start but when we have to rest him we need someone competent and Sagna is competent. Doesn't get beaten easily, strong in the air and can get forward although doesn't ever look to get beyond the play like zaba does.

I call bullshit. Him and Zab's would have a whale of a time with their previous.

Where does it say our backup right back HAS to be homegrown?
He's free, he's a good back up ... Zaba will start and play out all our big games and he can come in for the cup games to to mop up when Zaba needs rest after 60-70 mins after wrapping up the points etc ... unlike Micah, who is never there ...
I've had enough of Micah, Rodwell and Sinclair ... all English, all shite, all sick notes, they could all be as good as Messi but if they are lying on the treatment table 90% of the season then what good are they ...
And if we can get a back up right back on FREE transfer means we can spend in centre back, left back and perhaps another defensive midfielder ...

This rumour has been doing rounds for a while now so I think it has legs in it. Personally I would steer clear. But at least he would be free if this happens. And with Micah's injury record we can't really go into next season with just him & Zabba can we

Agree 100%
Also not bad having this rumour hanging over him/them keeping this weekends fixture in mind ;)

Bring Maicon back. I see not many differences between him and Sagna.

Age/injuries could be a concern.
I'd love for us to go for Coleman, tho I fear he'd cost an arm & a leg.

I'm assuming we're not investing in a young 'un as we'd like to keep a space for an academy graduate. If so, it'd be a good move.

Sagna is an interesting bid as he offers wat zaba can't, speed. I still think the dani alves rumour would benefit us wayyy more. How about our center half though? Our skipper deserves a top class defender by his side

Dejan Lovren anyone?
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Love lovren, but he lacks pace and hasn't showed outstanding promise with Southampton, as much as the croatian would fit alongside our serbian fullback, I still think vinny deserves better

Lovren is very average. Definitely not an improvement on what we have. It'd be a pointless signing.
