The players were so upset about the sacking that they travelled 200 miles to London after the match for their Christmas Party - They soon got over it then!

You know what surprises me about some of the posts within this thread?

The fact that no one seems bothered that players like Bellers, Given, Ireland, SWP etc are objecting tothe board ..... but players like Robinho and Adebayor are applaud because they aren't.

Well .... out of those two groups, I know where I would put my faith as to who cares about our club and who doesn't.
Relax ... It's only a message board in hyperspace!!

No. What's wrong with just making it up to suit your argument though?

The team flew to London for the party.
I bet that was a real hoot, the loyal members sat on one side of the bar the Mancini boys on the other.

Oh and for the record,if it wasnt for Shay this season we would have been fucked.
He was never me,me,me but always you, you, you

did you pull those names out of hat? Absolutely ridiculous. People just want to believe what they want to believe.

If there's even grain of truth in this story, and it's very likely there isn't, then those players need to be reminded who pays their wages.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

There is a saying that sums you two up ...... Be careful what you wish for!!

If Mancini is not successful ....... there is now no quality football manager in the world who will ever take us and our owners seriously again. The MCFC managers job will become the proverbial poisoned chalice.

We have now entered the 'last chance saloon'.

Those clubs have arrived, their owners have been succesfull on the pitch and therefore there will always be someone willing to manage them and continue the theme.

We are a 'challenge' for a manager who believes we have supportive owners who understand what it takes to build success in this particular field. Mancini obviously believes in them and believes he can do a job. He is also someone who has been out of work for 18 months, never managed in the Premier League and has negotiated a lovely financial cushion if the position end up 'not as advertised'.

If he does not achieve the kind of success that you think he will ...... we will never be able to recruit genuine Top Draw managers such as Mourinho. Evidently, Mourinho and Hiddink both turned us dowm. I am not surprised at their reluctance to join us.

Since when has human behavious been deemed as speculation.

If you had a top job like Mourinho and was wanted by top clubs like him and Hiddink ...... would you leave and go and work for a club that has no recent history and no industry credibility because of what we have just done?

Actually ....... maybe YOU really would!

I have agreed that it is press speculation ..... but human behaviour certainly isn't.

Managers who already have top jobs aren't daft. People don't leave top jobs to go and work for businesses that have just done what we have just done. Or, maybe in your world they do .... I can't comment because I don't know anything about your management or commercial background as such.

Mancini had better be good ..... because we have blown our chances of being taken seriously by a real top current manager in the future. And I don't count someone who has been out of work for 18 months in that category.

I reaaly hope he does the business for us and turns out to be everything you wish for ..... because he is now our last chance.

And in you line of work Mark, If you have the CV of a very successful manager come across your desk do you hire him or leave the unproven manager in charge after 18 months in charge with the staff divided?
