Think that would to our advantage - it would be mid-week between two weekend games which we're used to and they aren't. Their squad wouldn't allow them to rotate either side of it either.

One game really for FA Cup, as the quarter we'd have played before Barca anyway (next weekend) which just leaves the semi final on 12/13 April ... and as you rightly mentioned the FA Cup final ain't till a week after the league would have ended ... so it's just adding one extra game if we win against Wigan ... and Wigan might be just 2 days before Barca but would come a whole week after the CapitalOne Cup Final ... (players do however go for mid-week international friendlies though) ...

Win on Sunday, get a pot in the cupboard and this will give us the impetus we require to go on and win it. We are the best side and the only thing stopping us from winning the Prem is self belief. I think we have just lost a little bit of that with the loss to Chelsea but a Wembley cup win will be the spark to reignite our title push. The game on Sunday is crucial to our season imo. Win it and we win another cup. Mark my words

We don't even need to repeat it, but another similar run and I don't see anyone stating with us. Yes, there are some tough away games, but we're either better than Liverpool and Arsenal or not. I think we are. If we lose some key players again, we could be in trouble, but the same goes for any of the others, especially Liverpool who's squad is paper thin but coping with so few games.

Point still stands, you said you can't think of a reason why we won't win the league, not saying we won't, but there certainly are reasons why we wouldn't.

What I said:
" It's ours to lose - win all our remaining games and we could only be equalled on points.

Will we win them all? Probably not, but we did just have a run of 18 wins and two there was no reason weed draws from 20, so why not?"

I didn't say there wasn't a reason we wouldn't win the league. But with a full squad, we won 18 of 20 games and drew the other two. A similar run now and we win everything, CL aside. We've done it before, and only a month ago, not two seasons ago, so let's have the belief we can do it again.

By the time we play another league game on 15th March we could be 4th and up to 9 points behind Chelsea. We could end up with our run in being more difficult due to the fixture pile up.

more pressure to not lose, but we will put massive pressure on the teams around us if we put together some good wins and they will drop points imo

Exactly. In the worst case scenario, we end up 9 points behind, but what if we're not ?

Imagine it's the other way around & Chelsea had games in hand two of which are home v Sunderland & Aston Villa & we are top of the league but only 6 points ahead ? How comfortable do we feel with each game we play ? Nervous at all ?

No matter what happens over the next couple of weeks, it'll still be in our own hands. Worst case is we need to win all the games in hand to go top on goal difference. Hopefully, two wins and a draw at most would do that. Yes, it'll be a nightmare fixture confession wise, but it should be a great incentive to everyone to know what needs to be done.

Whatever happens, I doubt we'll be leaving it as late as last time.

If Chelsea lose in the next two games then that would be a major psychological blow for them to know we have 3 games in hand. Whatever happens I can see this going to the bitter end.

As it stands we have a finish (after the Utd Arse games) of

Apr 5 Southampton H
Apr 12 *Liverpool A (FAC SF)
Apr 19 West Brom H
Apr 26 Palace A
May 3 Everton A
May 11 West Ham H

The free midweek dates are 15/16 April and 6/7 May. So if we win the tie v Wigan we have 3 games to fit into 2 dates. So either we will have to play a game on a Champs Lg night if we are knocked out, (which has been done before) the season can't be extended due to the World Cup BUT what about the Wed before the Cup final ?

Seeing as we already have two fixtures cancelled, I would assume that they take precedent over the Liverpool fixture, so that one will be the last one arranged ?

Hows about Liverpool v City, SKY title showdown, last game ? Sure they would want that.

Then hows about we win the title by 3 points, so it doesn't matter ? Fucking perfect.

Whatever happens, We now have two extra home games in the run in (we were already playing Liverpool anyway).

I don't think that's a bad thing unless they make us play Liverpool on a Monday or something. But surely there can be no excuse for that, seeing as the FA Cup final is on May 17 so there is a spare midweek before the domestic season ends.

Palace Away, Everton away, Liverpool away, followed by a relegation zone West Ham at home. Hope we don't need 12 points.

No way the Liverpool game will be allowed later than the 11th, so can see us having to play Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. How about a game on the Easter Monday?

West Ham will be safe by then. Everton will probably know their fate as 4th or not, Liverpool will probably have sealed 4th but it depends if they have a title shot. If they do, then it's a real problem. If they don't; trip to Anfield in decent weather with them playing purely for pride, gives us the edge. Palace is a potentially very tricky one.

I like the fact that we will have more home games then; keeps the crowd involved .
