Well Antii reckons Roberto is gonna be our Arsene Wenger so i await with baited breath to see if he is right again.

I genuinely do think he is top drawer and will be great for us, yeah. I'm really buzzing about the appointment.

It's not about who's right or wrong though. No competition like that. I'm sure we all hope the same thing, only have different opinion of how to get there.

Oh, and I'm thousand percent positive there will be less arguing and Mancini is someone who potentially we can get all behind.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Can he attract the world class players we need in certain positions??

I hope he gets us a couple of decent full backs in; unfortunately he's too late to prevent the ridiculous Zabaleta contract extension.
Toure and Lescott have not been impressive but replacing THEM isn't going to solve our defensive problems

Obviously owners were expecting steady run of results and top four challenge.

BUT I'm sure same things are expected from Robbie Manc so he'll know from the off what is expected of him. I also firmly believe he will reach those targets next season.

I know you are upset mate but this is the situation now.

I am upset with the way the club have handled this as we are in a good position and not even half way into the season. I could have stomached it if we got an absolute top class manager, however, I am seriously underwhelmed.

This is it. Mancini isn't top class - nowhere near. The guy walked to a couple of serie As while the rest of the league was consumed by a match fixing scandal. He's done nothing in Europe and nothing to show he can cut it in the Prem...

I'm inclined to agree with you; plus he looks a bit of a wuss and it doesn't help that he was born in JESI, ferChrissakes!!!

I have a strange feeling that fans will have less patience with Mancini. The owners have made a very bold statement that they believe Mancini to be better than hughes. He will have to get off to a flyer or he will be in for a fan backlash.

Every city fan will be 100% behind him come December 26th, however, at 5pm if we have lost, I can hear the phone ins going into meltdown already.

Agree. He needs at least 15 points from the next 11 games or there will be trouble...

So who exactly is Mancini? I mean i've seen his CV so to speak but i'm more on about:
-whats his transfer policy?
-whats his preferred style of play/ formations?
-Approach to rotation/playing kids etc

Hopefully someone who actually followed italian football will have an informed opinion of the above (italian posters im looking at you)

Think you are massively underestimating the level of support Hughes had and the number of level headed fans who attend games and aren't complete pussies who start shouting for change after a few bad results. This decision and particularly the timing of it will have pissed an awful lot of people off.

Hughes was given more than enough time,...AND Money
Some of you may recall me asking for a list of all the post-game excuses Hughes made this season, and also that I voted for him out for the first time in the poll after Wednesday's game.
It was because for me, as somebody who welcomed his appointment and stood by him despite his increasingly more baffling decisions, had decided enough was enough.

But I'd also be happier if they dumped that idiot Cook, also

You should relax mate and get a few drinks on the go in celebration of Hughes getting the chop.

aye - but the men who were behind Hughes aren't about to try and drag this place into the mud, calling Mancini a cunt, and everyone who disagrees a "licker" for the next 18 months.
I'm pissed off - but I was pissed off when Sven went too. Man enough to get over it though.

I find the cunt references distasteful and (unhepful) too, I'llgive you that one. I don't think he was up to the job, never did, but I thank him for trying.
