Rodwell still has 3.5 years on his contract. No chance of getting rid as no other club will take him on. I do feel sorry for the lad but he will remain on our wage bill no matter what MP thinks of him

Rodwell is in a bind here.
If he is to move on , his injuries from his Everton days and at City , plus the fact that he didn't cut it at the highest level, will severely affect City's chances of a sale. Best thing we can do is hope ge gets fit and proves he isn't a fringe player in the squad.I doubt if that status will change.

Mangala is a player we need who fills the one hole in our squad. The other guy, if he arrives, represents an upgrade on Garcia (not good enough) and Rodwell (never ever fit for more than 5 mins).
I feel for Jack but 2 years waiting is long enough.

Do we remember the time a few years ago when those crooks Galliani and Berlusconi used to belittle us from their Ivory tower of corrupt operation?
AC Milan, stuck in no mans land, are about to complete their deadline day deal of Adel Taraabt on loan. How apt.

Aptly named the Morroccan magican - since he goes missing almost as much as Tom 'fucking' Cleverley.

I think he's much better than cleverly. About the level Meeee-lahn are at these days tho. Balotelli, Schwarma and Tarot are all not the top top players in their generation but should be better than they are. I'll be interested to see how they do this spring.

Dont watch porto so know nothing about this chap, but if he is a defensive minded midfielder then thats probably curtins for rodwell. in fact i suppose pelligrini will have a bit of a clear out in the summer, departing the players he inherited that he doesnt want.
i wonder how this will affect the English quota that we're required to have. Same if Lescott leaves.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

I am really excited about this. He is miles better than Rodwell. He was the reason Guarin was so good when Porto won the UEFA with AVB. Top, top player.
He got complacent at Porto, but he will be a great asset for us. If isn`t already obvious, his nickname, the octopus, comes from his skill to get the ball and recover it key moments. + very good speed.

I can't get interested or excited about the thought of signing a defensive midfielder (or a centre-back, for that matter), when what we need are still more goals and, therefore, IMHO another striker is a necessity (especially with Aguero's new injury).
Come on Mr Pellegrini, given your out-and-out attacking philosophy, you know it makes perfect sense.

We could have Fernando and Fernandinho. Any other examples of like or similar yet unrelated names in the same team. Did Darren and Marcus Bent play in the same side?

Di Napoli played for Napoli.
The Swedish national team once had a starting eleven with three players called Andersson + one called Alexandersson.

At Ipswich.
But aren`t they brothers? I was convinced they were. But they played in that Ipswich team with Matt Holland.

This suggests these moves, if they were to happen, are for the summer. I think we need a top class CB now but I know January is difficult.

Henry Francis @TheHenryFrancis 2h
City stating that they do not want any outside interference at their training ground tomorrow. Pretty much means someone's coming in.

Hmmm - I don't think it means that - what it *might* mean is that we've got one of our biggest games of the season coming up and we don't want a media circus outside carrington to distract our boys from training or capture any "bust ups"
