Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

He is atrocious. I imagine he sits in the commentary box with a rag shirt on with Bacons book not far from his side. BT doesn't have bad coverage and the lead commentator isn't bad but Owen drags it down. If we are ever unlucky enough to have Owen and Tyler on the same game I think the world might just give up

Yes he is the worst. States the obvious and has nothing insightful to say.

He is absolutely dreadful, but there is big competition for this award.
His annoying voice, as if he only breathes out & never in, gives him a possible edge though.

When I saw the commentary team was Darren Fletcher and Michael Owen, I couldn't believe it.
Then I realised it wasn't that Darren Fletcher.

I think Townsend's pretty likeable and at least gives the impression that he's enjoying his work (unlike Lawro, for instance). He gets a lot of shit but there are far less redeemable co-commentators out there.

Insipid commentary. Obnoxious voice. Deadly combination.

Owen is probably the worst commentator I've had to listen to. Just so so dull.

Conned a living masquerading as a football player for several years and now he's conning a living masquerading as being fit to commentate - whereas it's obvious to all except his rag mates that he's a cunt and a very good reason not to sign up to BT for their footie coverage.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

He's the weak link at BT unfortunately, I quite like their coverage in general.

Knob. But I'll also say that's a moral victory for knobs because they didn't deserve to lose.

Full of crap today. That Welbeck overhead attempt at the edge of the box got all sorts of praise when it should have been ridiculed. What the hell was he trying something stupid like that from so far out when his team needed a goal. And it was an awful attempt.
Januzaj was totally controlled by Walker (yes Walker) but they still made it sound like he was having a great game. When he moved to the right he was better in the last 30 minutes.I think he is a real future talent but he not that good yet.No doubt gollum will blame the ref for not protecting him and swear blind he was fouled and did not dive.
I am still baffled that Rooney's role today wasn't mentioned.

Don't worry, just teething issues for BT ... now that they have taken over all of Champions League from Sky and ITV both from 2015 on and will certainly be picking up more than the 1 of 5 packages they have now from Premier League ... not to mention having taken over ESPN and moving FA Cup over to BT Sports ... they are in for the long haul and will be sorting out what doesn't work and they'll know Owen doesn't ...
As I said, give BT the benefit of the doubt ... just early days and didn't have anyone else available ... but given all these games go over to them over the next few years and so will all the decent pundits and commentators ...

Gimp.
I've binned Sky for the very same thing and will not give BT any money until they either get rid or sort him out.

To be fair to Tyler the thread is about co-commentators. His place as the worst lead is still undisputed
