I don't know what part of your horrendous attempt at quoting was yours, so I just grabbed the last line and let's go from there.
Firstly, a spoilt bunch we have become? 15 years ago we'd be bitching about Edghill, 10 years ago it would have been Jordan, 5 years ago it was Benjani. City fans will always and have always had a bitch at one player in every squad. We haven't become anything, what have you become? We get money and you decide "sycophant" is the way to go?
As for Dzeko, I have always maintained he has the ability, he could well be the main striker at City and put Sergio into the supporting role. The problem is application. He find himself on the bench behind Negredo, not entirely unexpected considering he was the current manager's choice(Anyone who believes that Pellers didn't have final say over all Summer transfers including Fred, is a fucking idiot).
So he doesn't decide to see this as a challenge, work his bollocks off and force the issue, instead he puts in half-hearted performances and moans to the press. Whenever he does play the side tend to focus on him, Kolarov and Zabaleta come to the fore and if he was working his bollocks off, he'd have twice as many goals this season alone. He drifts to the backpost and allows three defenders to line up in front of him instead of making the hard run and getting to the front where he needs to be, then when it gets cut out by the keeper or cleared, he looks with exasperation at the crosser as if they should have done more to put it on a plate for him.
Most players improve when training with better players, but have you seen in 3 years any improvement in his hold up play, heading or first touch? He has had the ball coming at him at that pace every day for THREE FUCKING YEARS and he still fails to improve his baseline skills.
This is a player who will not succeed in any top side, I have no doubt that he would in a mid table side as the team would be built around him, a second striker to draw players off, quality wingers and fullbacks to put in crosses all day and a trailing midfielder to open space for him. However, we are a top side now and those sorts of luxuries are no longer ours to have. We have teams playing so deep you wonder if they are on the pitch or in the south stand, space and time aren't on the cards. He has the ability to work within this constraints, make no doubt about it. But the application of his talent is an insult to his teammates, the fans and the owners.
