Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Just finished Zlatans book. One crazy crazy man by the way. Apparently after leaving Barca it was a straight choice between City or Milan. He went for Milan for their history and the fact he'd lived in Milan before when he was at Inter. We then signed Aguero and the rest is well documented.
Do others think we would have won league with Zlatan and maybe did better last year. Maybe he'd be disastrous as his relationship with Mancini at Inter wasn't lovey-dovey. Top top player though. A different style to Kun as well. Who knows, Zlatan & Tevez could've been terrific.
Aguero has turned out brilliantly and as much as i rate Zlatan i'd take Aguero. Did get me thinking about other transfer targets we missed out on like Kaka. What they might have done. Does anyone with close ties to people in the know so to speak, know of any targets that nearly signed or if players were nearly sold? Be interested, thats all

aguero.
he, ibra, would have certainly fallen out with mancini, big time. due to his age his best days are probably coming to an end whereas Sergio is just getting better.

Fook me, we could have had Zlatan and Balo! We'd have neede two extra carparks at training for their egos alone.

Ibrahimovic would flounder in the PL - he couldn't play against English defenders here every day of the week.

You are surely joking here. He is a class act who has scored goals and win titles virtually every season in Sweden, Holland, Italy (with 3 clubs) & Spain. Why would he not do it here?

I simply don't see him being as effective in the English game as in most European leagues. I don't doubt he'd have a brilliant chance of winning the league here, but that's due to the calibre of club that would sign him. I don't, on the other hand, think he'd give any team that 'extra push' like Ozil has done for Arsenal, or RVP did for the Rags last season.

Fair comment. I think he'd get 20+ goals in Prem. As for giving teams a push, if he was at Spuds i think they'd be a better side for it. My opinion for the little its worth

I was actually going to give Spurs as an exception to what I think... However, I doubt he'd consider them worthy of Zlatan.

He does have an incredibly high opinion of himself. Much like Bendtner though at least Zlatan is a decent player, though to read his book you would think he's the best player ever

Agreed. I do actually rate him, don't get me wrong. I also rated Inzaghi, but thought he'd never fit the Prem, too.

Ibra and Tevez could have been the same kind of partnership as Neggers and Aguero, I'm still glad we got Aguero instead though.

Could you imagine Aguero in the hole behind Negredo & Ibra. Nasri/Silva assisting. May as well hand over the league if that happened

No offense to Negredo, I love the man and he slots in perfectly to our team. But he's light years from Zlatan in terms of quality.

He's a strong 'number nine' type though, playing alongside a hard working 'Terrier'. Which was my point. I didn't mention individual quality.

Disagree. Zlatan is better but not by light years. Negredo this year barring injury will get 20/25 in prem and assist many more. He will also have a great World cup.

They're different players so it's hard to tell. Zlatan is fucking incredible striker and so is Aguero.
