If we get a draw, I wont moan, i promise, itll be a good result as long as we then beat them at home in the new year.

This is going to be a high scoring open game as both defenses are shaky as hell and I wont predict a City loss so ...

Keeper quality could have a big bearing on this match. I like our chances.

I just hope We can start off decent for once. Can't remember when the last time was we weren't gash for the first 20-30 minutes Wish we would come out running, get in their faces and put some pressure on them. If we do that, get some work ethic and steel in for the first half hour, our attacking players will be too much for ol' Charlie & co. Spuds 0- City 2, Tevez & Robson

I reckon it'll finish 4-3. Dunno who to but I hope i'd like a Robson winner.

I'm kinda with Martinez and hope we can actually start a game well. If we don't I fear we could go behind early and against Spurs not recover. Had enough of feeling positive and getting draws so I wll go for a 3 nil defeat and cheer the draw.

I think this is the key. If we can start well and grab an early goal it could be a comfortable win for us

Sounds like the Wrinkly one is going to be fit for this (from the sound of DH's report and also reported elsewhere in the coverage that MH has been asked to explain his comments re Clattenburg comments

Hughes has taken the stance that now the FA are involved, his best course of action is to keep his counsel on the matter.

However, he was clearly unhappy on Saturday and his view has not changed.

"I said what I said on Saturday is still on record and I stand by it," he said.

"The FA have asked for my version of events so I can't really discuss the matter any further."

Bellamy will miss Wednesday's encounter with Tottenham as he serves his one-match ban.

And fellow wideman Shaun Wright-Phillips has also been ruled out by an ankle injury which has already made him a doubt for Saturday's encounter with Sunderland.

However, there is some good news for Hughes as Nigel de Jong has recovered after contracting swine flu at the end of last week and the Dutch midfielder is expected to feature at White Hart Lane.

I am liking a midfield of De Jong, Ireland and Barry against Spurs with Tevez, Robinho and Ade in front of them... should be good!

Of all our recent games this has to be the most impossible to predict. Could go from 4-0 to Spurs to 4-0 to City.

1-1 is safest I reckon.

I expect more goals than that, given that Spurs are missing both first choice centre backs and we still seem incapable of defending securely, but it won't be a drubbing for either side. I reckon 3-2 type of thing either way, could be a real classic. I just hope we have the edge, we really need to play for the win. There's some familiar sounding musings from this football blogger on Manchester City who registers surprise at the caution we have approached winnable games with. But we'll keep that to the Hughes thread! With 5 of the last 6 fixtures for us at White Hart Lane all having the same result and scoreline, we certainly need to mix that up! So mine is 2-3 City, with Robinho and Ade scoring (with someone else scoring a scrappy 'un), Defoe and Modric for Spurs.
