The guy is kosher. He posted a picture of him in a shirt and everything. It was a Fiorentina shirt, admittedly, but he looked like he couldn't wait to get out of it.

Where do you think Cheshire Today gets its scoops from?

I swear I saw a similar post last year (actually numerous from all different posters, me included) who were going all gaga over the transfers done by us back then ... Garcia (you beauty), Nastasic (promising future), Maicon (experience), Sinclair (my god, what to say, exactly what we were lacking) and Rodwell (wow, just wow) ...

Right, I think I will wait a few months before I really declare us the winners of the transfer window (like many of us did last year) and see how they get deployed by the new manager, what effect it has on others in the squad etc. before getting too excited.

With four forwards, one or even two of Dzeko or the new comers will be sitting on the bench ... with Fernandinho in, Barry/Garcia/Rodwell (who knows even Yaya, given Mancini is no longer there who'd play him every game no matter what) might find themselves on the bench ... and don't even get me started in the front half of the pitch ... with Navas in, Nasri and Milner both would be shitting themselves right about now, because let's see we can only put out 11 at a time ...

I look back on last years window and think to myself sometimes that we are all are way too harsh on it, probably because it all happened so late in window.

Only really Sinclair and Maicon were utter duffers, Garcia, Nasty and Rodders are all good players, with Nasty and Rodders potentially turning into great players.

This summer has been a step up on what we bought last year however, with Navas, Ferna, Jovetic and Negredo no doubt refreshing us and giving us a push on.

Last season we improved the squad, this season we have improved on the first team and early on too.

Every big club in the league is chasing our shadow already, first blow struck for MCFC.

He is a fighter, looking at the training sessions he's been doing all summer.

Shouldn't he be sent on loan if he is match fit, if he is not getting opportunities, we cant just make him train with EDS or first team. He needs some serious game time to improve, its been an year since he played. Send him on loan, if you think he is not good enough for city.

If we could turn the clock back, we would have a promising player who has just scored a shitload of goals and is ready to prove himself pre season.

Manager can watch him in training & go 'I'm going to give this lad a chance in the warm up games' and he will know within one decent game, if Guidetti is close to what we need.

But now, Guidetti, who hasn't kicked a ball at any kind of level in the last year, is currently injured. So the manager can't even watch him train. Then he has to play fitness games, then pick up the pace, then he needs a trial game with the first team, but not a big game; all this assuming he has no setbacks.

In the meantime, the manager has to decide whether he trusts Dzeko & an attacking mid as our only striking options, should Aguero get injured.

Baring in mind we could get Barca etc in the Champs lg, I would suggest that if someone offers you Negredo, as a manager, you would jump at it.

Re De Rossi; yes I meant Rossi. I don't think he has kicked a ball for Fiorentina yet.

He's had a string of bad luck and it's a real shame. A promising talent. Bad juju for not playing for America perhaps? I don't care but if your best and brightest play internationally abroad then we are all Poland.

i don't even know if we can truly qualify sinclair as complete crap - the truth is he got zero match time last season, so we have no idea how good he'll even be in our team. i think he played more on sunday in that friendly than he did all of last season. i'm not sure if sinclair is good enough, but i thought he was a difference maker for swansea, and when we bought him i thought he had a good shot to be a nice option off the bench to run at tired fullbacks.

We signed Sinclair to correct our issue of having no pace in the team.

In theory, as an impact sub, he could have worked, however for whatever reason Mancini just didn't fancy giving him a chance.

Which of course begs the question, why sign him then... all very odd. You are right though, it would be unfair to class him as complete pap based on probably 5-10 minutes total last year.

Maybe Pelle will give him a chance this year.

i have to admit, up until now your tongue licking of the Twitterati, etc has been largely as exciting as watching a pissed up old fart try and park his car in the beer garden at the Townley. However, this is pretty exceptional and got me very excited.

BTW unrelated....my Hugo Boss jacket i'm wearing to work today was made in Croatia and it's truly fantastic. I own nothing tailored in Bosnia. Just sayin. You can't tailor when yr spastic. Think about it.
