Jovetic would be a very nice replacement for Tevez, hopefully this will go through very soon.

Wasnt long after Elmo was supposed to have been doing a bit of fiddling.

It would have been hard on the Count, he loves to count so much

Dragging this topic firmly back on Jovetic, here are few facts that someone dug up on him compared to our lads last season.

Here’s how Jovetic compares with Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko:

– Jovetic scored 13 league goals last season, compared with Aguero’s 12 and Dzeko’s 14.

– He provided 5 assists, more than Dzeko’s 3 or Aguero’s 2.

– He averaged 3.6 shots per game, more than any other Manchester City player (Carlos Tevez – 3.1).

– He won, on average, 0.8 aerial duels per game, considerable less than Dzeko’s 2.7 but more than Aguero’s 0.2.

– He created 55 scoring opportunities for his teammates in 12/13, Aguero and Dzeko managed 39 and 32 respectively.

– He was dispossessed on average twice a game, compared with Aguero’s 2.8 and Dzeko’s 1.5.

– He completed 2.1 successful dribbles per game, more than any other Manchester City player (Aguero – 1.9, Dzeko – 0.3).

– He was fouled by opponents 2.3 times per game, over double the amount of any Manchester City player (Pablo Zabaleta – 1.1).

And yet only score one more than Aguero and less than Dzeko, so his accuracy is considerably worse than Dzeko?

This bloke is basically (and sees himself) as an attacking mid. He is versatile. Don't view negative points points re striking.

For those who haven't seen him, I first noticed this lad playing for Montenegro kids v England, where he was a McManaman lookalike & a right diving twat, but absolutely electric & on another planet to the English lads. Strong stories came out about City scouting him & I was praying for us to snap him up but we never did, then a few years later, still as a kid, he caused Liverpool all manner of shit in the Chumps Lg & imo he was one of the biggest young talents in world football.

Then he was gone. I was asking on here if people knew the lad from my description, as I had forgotten his name & couldn't find him anywhere & was wondering how the fuck he wasn't famous, then someone figured out the name and said that he was badly injured.

I've monitored him occasionally since he came back & initially imo, he wasn't the same player, but more recently, the bits I've seen of him, he has been getting it back.

When he played for Monty v England as a striker, he was bobbins, but he was being given longball headers to win as a striker v the best cb in the country (Lescott) & had no chance.

Then 2nd half he was allowed to drop deep int midfield & took the fucking piss out of Cleverley & Carrick. Not many noticed as everyone including commentators, was in England whinge mode, but I was watching Jovetic & he was fucking CLASS. Some said he was unimpressive but I don't agree at all. First half yes but 2nd, different matter.

You can never be sure a player will make it in the Prem but that is the case for Isco & imo, this lad is ahead of Isco; not as obviously tricky, but just as clever, skillful, bigger, stronger and a bit quicker & works harder. He has played full international football & Champions Lg, for years. Isco was potential, not a week in week out performer; this lad is currently more proven. Wheras Isco is more of a forward but gets called & midfielder, Jovetic is more of a midfielder who gets called a striker. At their best, both do a similar job. Jovetic, so far, does it miles better than Isco.

Like Fernandinho, I never thought we were serious about him, even though we had obviously been sniffing, but imo these two plus Navas could be revolutionary.

Very excited if this happens.

It's still on over here. They have just introduced a new muppet to help kids that have a parent in prison. They haven't said who the new muppet's parent is but my money is on Elmo.

he's not in prison. Famous people that abuse kids sexually don't seem to go to prison ever for some reason. Have any priests, or celebs ended up in the slammer for their kiddy fiddling ways? I can't think of a major one, but there have to be some.

Thanks for that Ted. It's nice to get some idea of who we're signing because TBH, never watching European football, I've never heard of most of these people.
