He's a solid defender, bit of a mental case as well, but Andy Morrison did that job for us quite well. Enough of these defenders who think they're midfielders.

Who touted them Gillie? They got big wraps after drawing with Columbia but then lost their next two. But for their defensive frailties they actually bossed games.

Da Silva is 16 by the way and should get a few starts for Perth Glory this season.

Apparently Rome is a buzz with the rumour that we have agreed to take Osvaldo from Roma.

He's king of bicycle kicks and a complete maverick but a very decent rotation option. Price will define if this is a good deal if/when it goes through.

So potentially, if all is to be believed, our front four may be,

Aguero (Age: 25) (378 games played / 171 goals)
Dzeko (Age: 27) (349 games played / 152 goals)
Negredo (Age: 27) (328 games played / 139 goals)
Osvaldo (Age:27) (232 games played / 79 goals) (Note: Early career was bit shit but past 3 seasons have been 1 in 2)

.....with Guidetti in no mans land... a second loan perhaps awaits...

Not a bad 4 really.

Also,
It has been reported that Del Nido held talks with City chief-executive Ferran Soriano on Wednesday but today he stressed he would not negotiate a cut-price deal with any club and declared that, for now, Negredo was still a Sevilla player.

He said: "Sevilla have an asking price for Negredo and if they aren't met, he will play for Sevilla next season. Tomorrow he will sleep in Seville and then he will start training with the team again.

"There have been no offers from English football, not from City, not from Tottenham."
Speaking to reporters at a promotional event, Del Nido also declared that the Argentine centre-back Nico Pareja would join the club on loan from Spartak Moscow next season, with Sevilla retaining the option to buy him when the loan deal expires.

"I've spoken to him and we still need to iron out some details with Spartak, but if there are no complications, Nico Pareja will travel to Seville tomorrow (Friday)," he said.

"The player has made a huge effort to come to Sevilla by renouncing part of his contract, and I am as excited about signing him as I am about any of the big names in football."

I like the look of this Perry Boomerang character, (apart from his Brazilian type turd hairdo) but I would say he is a competitor rather than a partner for Lewandowski.

The game is afoot Watson..

Not too sure about that Ted. Aubameyang can play out wide too, so could be Goetze's replacement.

Well, even if Lewandowski stays, they need some competition/backup for his place as Schieber is dogshit.

The same player was deployed to kick the shit out of Barca as a midfielder. Your right though Head case.

The key to this is how Pepe played under Pellegrini? anyone remember anything? I cant even remember if Pepe was there under him as I dont watch Madrid too often, he must've been there. Pellegrini probs got on with him well.
Pepe was even more of a dick under Moureen, but so were the rest of the team.

I don't really get the point of getting rid of Lescott and bringing in a six months younger Pepe as his replacement (if that's actually what's gonna happen).

Lescott is a proven Premier League defender with still a lot to offer (cue Carlthebrokenrecord), whereas Pepe is a proven nut case who might or might not be success in England.

Never been a Lescott fan, so I won't be too bothered if he leaves.

Pepe just doesn't seem right. If I'm missing something that Pelli has seen and he performs consistently well, then my mind will be altered if this signing comes off.

Who said I was a Dortmund fan? I was posting transfer news and considering this was plastered across the top of some football websites I figured it was news.

Saw this this morning:
The Turin-based newspaper believe that the Nerazzurri are keen to bring the England international to San Siro after he endured a torrid campaign in the north-west last term.

Richards played just seven times for City in 2012/13 due to a knee injury and the arrival of Maicon.

Walter Mazzarri's side are reported to be big fans of the 25-year-old, who could be available for around €10m (£8.6m).
The San Siro side however, want to bring in the full-back on a season-long loan with an option to buy outright, but City will only consider outright offers.

Arsenal and Roma have also shown interest in the former Oldham Athletic trainee, who has two years to run on his contract.
Arsenal's interest is dependent on the future of Bacary Sagna, who is into the last year of his contract with the Gunners are bracing themselves for bids from PSG and Monaco.

Just keep Lescott & Sign Pepe.

4 decent centre backs who play about 30 games each.

When the older players start to come to the end of it, they are replaced over a year or so by younger ones.

Pepe could also be used as a df mid in europe.
