Arsenal are just above average, and a draw would not have been unjust.

Spurs are absolutely nothing. A couple of injuries to Bale etc & a couple of defeats & that team would struggle to beat anybody in the league. The rags have done their job this season; cashed in on a league full of transitional teams with basic, weak defenses. Spurs are able to do the same.
The fact that these people are 2 points behind us just shows what a pile of shite we have been. The excuses coming out about lack of signings is pathetic. 'If we had Van Persie..blah fucking blah..' Well if Spurs Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea or Everton added his goals, they would finish above us, so basically all we are worth could be wiped out by any of those sides finding another top goalscorer.

What a fucking mess we have made of this. We have a good enough squad to have gone through this season unbeaten.

Ok, Spurs 2 points behind us, although we have a game in hand. BUT if their current form continues they might cause us trouble and knock us out of 2nd place. Seriously, there is no more room for errors and tactical experiments now!

Just sullied myself and listened to 5-lies. Apparently spuds are getting second and arsenal are getting relegated. Oh, and it's all Steve Bould's fault.

You don't think the lack of market activity had any effect on our season? And what about injuries?

I usually consider you measured Ted but to say that Liverpool et al only need a striker to be above us is less than what I'd expect. I'm trying to work out if you believe we should be top of the league, pissing on the Rags?

Just seen your last post and glad that you acknowledge that it was a joint effort this season, some out of everybodies hands though.

Spot on Ted, the fingers should be pointed at all of them, but in my opinion the manager's head shouldn't roll for collective failure, instead a collective response should be taken to put us back on track, then & only then will I consider the manager's position.

Are we struggling mid table with our quality team ? why should bobby take note ... btw i think he already knows about these two

Something we could implement as a plan b when walking the ball into the net isn't working.

...I don't think we need to be taking lessons on how to play from teams lower in the table than us. Roberto has it covered.

Why not? Perhaps if we had Bale we'd be top of the league, not 12 points behind.

Can't we just buy all of them, each and everyone? Just to make sure that we've got all angles covered?

We could even bring Taggart, Pep, Klopp and Maureen in to ensure there's no competition. They could take tries-and-turns in the managers seat and we could also get rid of Platt.

Come on Mr Mansour, you know I'm right.

I'm looking forward to the game at White Hart Lane very much. It is a great opportunity to show all the doubters that we're here to stay. I'm quite confident we will win and I see little reason to fear them. We have the tactical discipline to if not nollify Bale but at least to make him less dangerous than he has been lately. He thrives against teams like Arsenal who are in tactical disarray. Against Zabaleta not so much. Against Zabaleta with the support of Milner even less so.

You underestimate the power of the dark side Avoidconfusion.

Acually, I'm gonna go ahead and ask a follow up question to anyone interested: is this one of the poorest seasons of modern top tier football modern history, when it comes to tactical discipline?

It seems that way to me. Sometimes I think even Robinho could have played here during this season. Especially when teams come to us, they generally don't seem to have a clue about what do to and I mean.... ok we're good, but we're not that good, are we? There must be something a team like Stoke can do at our stadium besides standing in their own penalty area and hoping that time runs out. That wouldn't have happened a few seasons ago under similar circumstances, would it?

Teams did the same v the Rags, Chelsea and Arsenal in recent years to be fair. We were doing it only a couple of seasons ago!
