Ted Hughes wrote:2) Why are people so keen to let Everton off the hook? It doesn't matter to us if this goes on all season. It'll have no effect on us whatsoever, just ruin Everton; which is a good thing surely? This bollox about the players being against Lescott is just Moyes trying to save face. They're against HIM. Even his No1 boy Cahill, who he brought through from nowhere to the PL publicly backed Lescott.

Because if this does go on all season we still won't have signed a left footed defender. Release a statement saying that due to the fact David "I'm in charge" Moyes has thrown the baby out with the bathwater that reluctantly we will have to move on to other targets and get over it.

If we pay anything over £20 million for lescott we are being robbed

I know we have loads of money but we have to consider how much stronger everton will be if we pay more than double the players true value - bad business

We have weakened everton already - if we walk away now we have improved our chances in the prem - good business

SSN Yellow bar saying that the toffees are in talks with the barcodes about Steven Taylor.

Does that mean that lescott will be on his way?!

I have fuck all idea how this whole lescott thing will turn out tbh!

I think Moyes has really fucked it making out Lescott as the reason for the loss and excluding him from training. Even if we don't get him in this window, I cannot imagine it will all be happy families over there at Goodison. All he has now is a disgruntled player who will be getting paid and winding down his contract.

Good to see Moyes hanging him out to dry we're being slated for chasing a player now Moyes is publicly setting up Lescott to find out just how nasty, bitter and racist (some) of the Toffees fans can be...

How the hell have the media got ahold of this?

Its disgusting. I hope Moyes called Chris Houghton personally to discuss it over a nice glass of chardonnay.

Prick.

Yes, we are currently trophyless in our recent history. They're right, Joleon will want to stay and polish all those winners medals he's got at Everton.

We're shite in the cups, but under Moyes they've been worse than us. Until last season when the beat united (thanks for that) but were then destroyed by Chelsea.

They're right on one other thing too - people leaving 10 minutes before the game ends. They should lock the gates and shoot anyone who tries to leave early. Possible exception for a night game, if you can prove you'll miss your last bus/train otherwise. You expect the players to play to the final whistle, so the same has to go for the fans.

City fans leaving before the end pisses me off but last week hundreds of toffees were walking out before half time.
Ted is right, if we have played any part in causing any trouble for Lescott, we must put that right or stand by him.

This probably won't be a popular view, but I think people have a right to leave whenever they want. Football is entertainment and if you aren't enjoying that then it's up to you if you want to leave. Yes, we expect the players to play for the full 90 minutes because it's their job, but supporters are not being paid to witness a 1-6 mauling are they?

You want to believe that you staying to the end has an effect on the players in future games then that is your choice, but couldn't fans leaving early also have an effect? And who has categorically gauged which has had the more positive effect overall? Fairweather supporters right? Well, one could theoretically make the point that most of our membership on here has come after Frank took over and we started to get money, surely any truly dedicated 'stay to the end' fan should have made more of an effort to be involved in the City internet community as soon as it existed or did they all magically get their first computer on the same day in 2007?

I genuinely never even thought a place like this existed until somebody in England told me about it, many more would be in the same boat I assume. Not everyone knows the ins and outs of the internet.

Fuck me the cyber bully has got me again.

You must really get off on trying to get a rise out of people on here. I'm in the happiest place I've ever been in my life, some dude on the internet giving me shit is like throwing stones at a tank, by all means though keep em coming I'm sure someone on here is impressed.

A list of things wrong with that post.
1. Are you honestly comparing yourself with a tank? The only thing you have in common with a tank is girth.
2. If you are the tank and I am throwing stones, wouldn't that make you the bully?
3. You replied, I guess I made at least one impression.
4. (concentrate on this one if you miss the point on everything else)You missed the point of the first post, my genuine post, and then made it all about you. What do you want, a pat on the back?
5. I hardly think it's bullying to state the truth, you only became a City fan when the television coverage got good enough in Australia for you to be bothered. Luckily that coincided with our rise after 2002, you're hardly in a glass fucking house are you?
