Nigel Adkins

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This is going to be another Wolverhampton where they sacked Mick and got relegated.
So this is how it feels to be City,
This is what it means to stand tall,
This is how it feels when our club has no debt at all.

I'm also very surprised at this decision. It seemed like they were just finding their feet in the PL.

Adkins had steaded the ship a little after a very shaky start, beating Villa and drawing with Chelsea only this week. He was the one who took them to back-to-back promotions to the Prem as well.

I was thinking the exact same thing , Hughes got sacked we were slated.I hope Adkins continues in management .

If it's purely about where the club sees itself in the future (i.e., ambition) then his is a strange moment to reveal it to the world. Why not wait until the summer?

Always thought they were quite a stable and well run club until this moment of madness. At least they didn't go for Hughes.

Two back to back promotions and 3 points clear of the relegation zone.

I really don't understand football these days.

He looks like he's just taken a dump in the directors box. Which might explain today's announcement. (Not cryptic, unfortunately)....

Apparently Adkins left this for the players...

I can't help thinking he got the idea for the face from his own picture above.

We used to do this all the time, doesn't anybody learn from others' mistakes?
They gave us a tough game when they came and were looking good for a fight to stay up.
The players will resent the new manager, even if it was Pep, and won't play for him for the next few games.
Relegation almost guaranteed. Glad it's not my club. Anymore.

I can't help thinking that my hometown team of Huddersfield could do worse if the board lose patience with Grayson. Another bad result for them today and they are slowly slipping towards the relegation places.

I'd like to see him there too - Grayson still smells of Leeds.
