I liked his little flick which allowed Wigan to counter attack.

Strongly disagree. Didn't go any further.

What do you disagree with?

The quoted part...obviously.

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I mean, are you disagreeing about the portion of people that like him or about his reliability?

I don't think we can all agree, well most of us, that Barry is like so muck like the rock of gibraltar in midfield its ridiculous.

A very good and important player for us, the stats don't lie.

Barry is a key figure when Mancini puts out his best team.He knows he reads the game well and compliments the rest of the players out there.Last night he cocked up twice in the early stages, once with a bad flick and then caught on the ball (Garcia style!) but apart from that he was his usual reliable self and maybe even got a little further forward at times.

He is quality. Slow in the legs but not in the mind.

I think and im not sure 100% that he was praising barry saying he is our rock and that we all agree he is important player, cos there are only a few here that cant see how important he is to us. He is actually currently my second favorite city player, has been like that a while!
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. He is a good squad player, only because city have no decent central midfielders bar yaya when he's not being lazy. We have too many holding midfielders and if city want to compete with the likes of bacra without doing a chelsea they will need something better. He's ok for premier league games but far too slow and fat for the chumps league.

I think, maybe it's just because of Your nick.

Absolutely. A great buy for us. Solid and rarely injured. He spots danger, breaks up play and wins the ball like Dietmar Hamann but also quickly gets it to Silva and Yaya. If David says GazBaz was his player of the year last season, who am I to argue?

He's much more than a squad player. The fact that he's so underrated has always baffled me. His passing might be simplistic, but he hardly ever loses possession. He works hard off the ball and his reading of the game covers his lack of pace. His form is the reason why De Jong never got a game last season, and why Garcia won't get one this year.

I meant in the wider world. I was having a row with some lads in work the other day. I said he was class and the whole room laughed. One of them went on to explain why england should drop him for Tom fucking Huddlestone. I nearly fell off my chair.
You ask anyone who isn't a city fan what their opinion of him is, and they will almost certainly say he's shit, too slow and fat. You ask any city fan and they will say he's reliable, an intelligent footballer and allows the rest of the team to play better. He will never be on the highlights on MOTD, but he is one of the most consistent players in the league and he doesn't get the wider recognition he deserves.

Bazza is the tin opener of the kitchen draw.

He's not sharp or flashy like other gizmos. He's quite slow and cumbersome and takes what seems like a lifetime to go full circle. But he is rigid and dependable and you would never use him for anything other than what he's built for.

Your utensil set simply wouldn't be complete without him.

I don't know what I meant anymore. He's a good player yeah!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Tevez is more like the Rock of Gibraltar, what with all the ownership issues and his awful command of both Spanish and English.

Which other players remind you of protectorates, disputed territories or giant slabs of Jurassic limestone?

Emmanuel Adebayor: Northern Ireland

None of his parent clubs ever seem too bothered about hanging onto him, whilst he himself is constantly plagued by internal conflict.
