Got to say though, his bitterness is making me smile.

As a Liverpool supporter I'm delighted that Man City have won the title today and the way they did it was just incredible. It's not an easy thing to win your first Premier League title regardless of who you're playing. Most exciting thing I've seen in years. I suppose it compares favourably with Liverpool's Champion's League win in 2005.

This was BEFORE they had even won a league title. I'd like to add Schmeichel into the mix as well. He was the world's most expensive 'keeper when he signed for them in '91, wasn't he?
Now, the fundamental point of all this is that Man Utd "fans" would have you believe that their successes gave them the funds to go out and spend big bucks in the transfer market. Fairy nuff- but where on earth did they get this money prior to '93? An FA Cup success in 1990? The Cup Winners Cup in 91?
The 'holier than thou' crap emanating from their collective orifices makes me sick.
It's very easy to say that Man City have 'bought' the league. In fact, it's a lazy argument. Yes, people will look at the record books in years to come, wonder how Man City got where they are, how they won the league to break the dominance of Man Utd and Chelsea and the simple answer would be; 'ridiculous investment at the behest of a foreign owner'.
However, if you were to look at the kind of money other big clubs have invested, and yet come up wih nothing (Newcastle, Tottenham, Leeds), it's a massive, massive achievement to win the league in spite of what was spent.
Great post mate. Rag fans have short memories.

For the rags to be critical of Sugar Daddies is hilarious. The rags have had more sugar daddies than Joan Collins has had husbands. If it hadn't been for quite a number of sugar daddies, the rags would have gone out of existence many many years ago. The whole of the City squad turned up to one of their jumble sales and donated cash to them, to keep them in business.
A large part of the initial income, that kick started and funded their post war - modern history came from the generosity of City, allowing them to play their games at Maine Road and giving them access to City's much larger crowds. There is a belief that they never paid the rent bill.
Their biggest commercial asset pre Premier League was their commercialisation of the Munich disaster, not only the groundswell of public and media support that helped fill their coffers but the manner in which the rags have ensured it has been continuously regurgitated by the press over the last 50 years.
Having educated you on that lot, I will now refer you to the G14, the blackmailing and coercion of UeFA by that group, the restructuring of the financial and competition rules that ensured that channels of income were put in place, benefiting only those clubs from the major nations and effectively wiping out fair competition from smaller and less powerful nations.
As the g14/UeFA issue is such a huge one, I will not spoon feed you but leave you to research it and educate yourself.
As you flag yourself up as a Carlisle fan, itamuses me to remember that great sugar daddy of your club...Mr Knighton.

What an exciting league that would be.
They have very cleverly built their cartel and consolidated power in such a way that the only way to really challenge it is to do what we've done. But it isn't the means that offends them, it's the ends. If we were "ruining football" for every other club in the country en route to distant 2nd place finishes every season, they wouldn't care a jot about the money except as something else to ridicule us about.
The moral outrage comes from the fact that we are threatening their hegemony and winning trophies that, in their arrogance, they believe they are entitled to.
It's a bit like an entrenched Mafia kingpin crying out against "dirty tricks" when someone else comes along who is even more clever, resourceful, and cutthroat.
