never, although I have seen loads of lads jumping the turnstiles at the kippax in the 80's and 90's. I didnt see the issue myself, as it was cheap as chips and I used to get in with my paper round money. Each to their own, they never got challenged on the other side of the turnstiles either.

I once climbed onto the roof of a police van to jump over the wall at Spotland. I watched the game lay on the ground under the floodlights on the hill that used to be there to the left of the away end. To this day, I am not sure why I went to that length to watch a Rochdale game.

Although I had a ticket, it was never checked at Lokeren - so although I didnt technically jib in, every fucker else in that metal stand seemed to have done!!

I also once sneaked into Gigg lane when they were re-building all the stands and had a kick about on the pitch once summer evening.

My 2 favourite trespassing events though was non-football related but deserves a shout.
When Hatton fought Urango at the Paris hotel in vegas, pissed up I blagged myself into the conference room where the room was being built. They were building the stands and the ring, and I blagged myself past security as a "health and safety consultant" to have a mooch around. I think I was more tolerated than believed.

To top this though, the day before the weigh in for the Hatton /Mayweather fight, I thought i'd have a mooch down to the MGM garden arena. Eventually I struck lucky, found an open door, had a wander round and did a bit of shadow boxing in the ring and the lad I was with caught it on video for posterity.

I grew up on Horton Road.

Had it timed to perfection, leave house at 1450 hours, arrive at Kippax turnstiles at 1455 hours, find a bloke who would let you go in behind them, never met a City fan that said no, and in you went.

Or you could just go for an empty turnstile method , young and agile it was easy to sprint jump and gone straight up the steps in to the Kippx, you knew the bloke in the turnstile could do jack, he wasn’t going to chase you and leave all that cash.

It was a fine art..

Another good couple of turnstiles for jibbing in were the first 2 at the beginning of the North stand at the end of the Kippax ,on account of the bloke sat in the little kiosk couldn’t see a fcukin thing through his tiny window until it was to late and you were in behind someone, you had to wait until you heard that “CLICK”,it was all in the timing ,got your timing wrong you were fcuked.

The Main Stand was a bit iffy so we kids gave it a miss.

The old Platt Lane was a piece of piss, the only trouble there was you were easily spotted on the benches because there wasn’t many in that end in the old days, so if you got in there you were better making your way straight in to the Main Stand..

Fcuk me I feel old.

A couple of mates of mine went to Bradford years ago in our promotion year we drew 1-1, they jumped the wall early morning with a couple of bags of beer and hid in the toilets until the ground started filling up.

That’s pretty dedicated

we used to always double up with an adult when we were kids in the kippax. more often than not the older city lads would ask you if you wanted in!

i remeber having a snide ticket at blackburn for the promotion game but got caught and ended up watching on the hill.

gillingham away i also had a dodgy ticket and got in easy as did about 10 of us no problem.
there were 2 other grounds we got in that season aswell but i cant remeber. they may have been crewe and wrexham but not sure.

ive still got a full lokeren ticket as johnpb78 says as they wernt even checked. what a shambles it was.

El Classico at the Bernabeau. Just strolled in for the second half.

Bosnia-Herzegovina home games, whenever there's a clampdown on hooliganism/supporter groups, I always manage to wangle a cameraman pass.

Did you not fancy the 1st half?

Reminds me of another though, Valencia vs Liverpool Uefa cup. Was in Benidorm on holiday and got talking to some scousers one night who said they would get me a ticket, and I could come down on the coach with them and try and get a ticket outside the ground for the Valencia end as it was a big ground with little chance of selling out.

When we got there, the police just let us all in through a big gate, apparently not many of us had tickets. Have heard similar from rag fans in spain too, seems to be a common occurrance.

Funniest bit of the night was in a bar back in Benidorm, the police tear-gassed and stormed the pub when Sticky Vicky was on cos they thought a riot had started when everyone started cheering and banging the tables when she lit up a lightbulb with her clout.

Mid eighties we had a couple of steward passes that we'd chuck over the wall to get us all in, as many as twenty at a time. Christ knows how many fakes I've had. Remember gettin in with one at Blackburn, when I got in I noticed a print of the ticket on me hand. One I bought in Poland had no rip holes so I had to use me badge to make them(pissed up). I heard City fans were gettin in with beer mats in Belgium.

Anyone remember that big flag that used to go from one end of the Kippax to the other? They used to sneak kids in rolled up in it Image

Very rarely paid for a ticket at Maine Road when i was a kid. Either used to sneak in with an adult into the Kippax or jibbed over the wall. I've seen kids sneaking into COMS under the turnstiles.

I'm lucky enough to have a conjoined twin. Every second week, when it's his turn to pay, I get through the gate for free on the same turnstile rotation.

They're pretty nice actually. Unfortunately we're joined at the back of the head so the best I can ever muster is a sneaky peek in a mirror or window.

Fuck me bish. You two must be "very close friends" to fit into the turnstyle together. Did you penetrate?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Went through the woods at the back of Gigg Lane and climbed over the fence to get in. Some guy spotted my mate doing it, ran over and gave him a tenner and said "Here you go mate if you're struggling for money!"
