Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Good to see the boys go back to the swamp training ground today and get revenge after the beating last year. 3.1 it finished and if it hadnt been for the fact that we seemed to give the ball away consistently it would have been more I am sure.
A lovely link up between Suarez and Rusnak set Jordi away for a well taken goal, quickly followed by a great solo goal from Rusnak straight through the middle from a gap left there by intelligent running from Jordi. They go one back after a slightly lucky bounce of the ball gave an easy shot and goal but it came from one of those give aways.
Interesting to see Suarez at this level. He looked a class above at times but he does just need to find the right pass at the right time.Just holds onto the ball too long for me at times. But he really worried the scum team as they resorted to fouling him as the best (only) way to stop him.Just like everyone on Silva and eventually one of their goons was booked for a cynical one.Not often there are bookings in 18's games but it was about time in this case.
The 3rd goal came from the spot after a lovely move ended with a foul as we were just about shooting.Good spot by the ref who was a bit patchy in his performance I thought. Pretty well all our lads played well I thought with the exception of Henshall who had one of those games.A poor touch all day and no strength to hold the ball or win it back.I don't think he did anything right all match.
We held the lead pretty easily in the 2nd half with Gunn having little to do.The under 16's won their game as well (2.1) so lets hope for 3 in a row later. Now I need a shower after spending so long at the swamp.

Cheers Doug. Got to watch a bit of it on the net, looked a decent game. Suarez really does look a real talent, does he do that week-in/week-out?

This was a game today and not one 6 weeks or so ago and definitely not one with a Mancini involved.

I believe Jordi comes from Stretford. Wouldn't it be nice if he turned out to be something special?

Eleven weeks ago, whilst a non-contract player and whilst involved in a non-competitive match - without Mancini senior's knowledge.
