For all our failures tonight it's worth mentioning that Bayern are a bloody good side. The way they kept the ball so well in the second half was brilliant.
Don't think we should be too downhearted about this, they'll reach the semi finals at least imo.

It's not difficult to play keep the ball when your opponent isn't trying.
but I agree with the last first and last sentences. let's beat Blackburn on Saturday and we'll go to international break laughing.
then let's beat Villarreal at home and we're still in it.

Totally agree, they are a class side with some fantastic talent.
This thread is refreshing after reading someof the comments in match thread.
Fair enough, I wouldn't of put Kolo in, and I may have started DeJong but none of us know how fit he was. The first half hour we played very well and I was starting to feel confident. Barry made a mistake, the game turned. Mancini tried to change it back but was well and truly fucked over by Herman fuckin munster head argie twat.

I think you should post a comment in the Tevez thread.

When we were bothered (first 30 minutes) we made them look ordinary.
With all due respect I don't think Barca or Real will have much to worry about on tonight's evidence. Doesn't say much for us, mind.

Top side.
Can't take anything away from them tonight they were great and will do very well in the competition.
The old masters gave us a lesson.
We just have to bow our heads and accept it this time.

They were unbelievable at chasing the ball down, giving us no space and crowding out our creative players with 3 of them around Silva, Aguero and Nasri when they had the ball - BUT playing with two midfielders was a mistake and allowed them to boss the game.

In the end I don't think we gave them much of a game. But for 20 minutes or so we looked ok without being fully on top or anything.Trouble is Bayern soaked up what little we did throw at them and then it felt like they just upped their game and did what they had to do.
Before they scored it felt like it was coming as we were so open. There were times there was so much space for them to play that I feared it would be a matter of time. Then once they had scored they just killed the game and made sure we didnt get a look in.Yes they are a good side but you cant tell from tonight how good.

Very bad tactics all round...Swapping Vinnie around with Kolo wasnt a great move to start with and there is even an argument why Lescott was not on in the first place...hindsight and all that.....Barry and Yaya were a non event,Nasri and Silva were invisible after the first 25 mins.
Second half NOONE could string a pass together.
The change in Midfield should have been made for the start of the second half....Aguero (Not Dzeko) should have been hauled off alongside Yaya or Barry with Milner and FUCKFACE coming in to replace them both....there again maybe Tevez had been told by his rat faced agent to refuse to play to ensure hes not cup tied for a January transfer....Fucking wouldn't put it past him. !!

They're really good and my favorite to win the CL this season.

Now I've calmed down over Tevez and accpeted our defeat I have to agree... Bayern were spot on tonight and didnt give us and inch.. we were poor IMO aswell though. Cant understand why Kolo started, hes been out so long he cant be ready to come back just like that. Our attack was basically cut off by Bayern.

Interesting to see Bayern get smashed by Wolfsburg first game back. Maybe with the impending addition of Schurrle Wolfsburg can really challenge

Saw a bit of that. Shalke were 5 at the back & everyone behind the ball vs Bayern's 10 men in the 20 mins I saw.
Mind you one of the 5 was Nastasic so it's probably fair enough.

Didn't Bayern let their foot off the gas last season around this time. Whether the players feel the league is won or Bayern feel they have to make a go of the league, it doesn't matter, it's all 'meh' for me.

Don't tell me, Ill take a wild guess - Bayern are top?
