SHAMBLES - UTTER FUCKING SHAMBLES.

THE WHOLE TEAM HAS BEEN SHITE.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Good summary

I think Wigan's last two attacks are just a cameo of what an absolute disaster 'Laurel and Hardy' have been for us today
(the problem is, everybody here, apart from the most jingoistic cheerleaders, knew they'd be a problem for us so why couldn't Hughes see that)

We will find it hard now, hughes has to change it at half time I feel Wigan will now shut up shop and counter.

It's quite simple, he practices it every day. You have to have firm hands and knock the ball away from goal.
A mistake plain and simple.

The goal was down to Richards, no question, pathetic attempt at a tackle.

Need a change of attitude and system.

Get Ireland and Weiss on. They are vulnerable down the flanks but we are not exploiting it at all. SWP and Petrov should be killing them but it isn't happening. Distribution from DeJong and Barry is non existent and Tevez is running around but not really making enough happen.

Here's the problem, Hughes chooses his favourite system from Blackburn era of 4-4-2 with two deep lying miedfielders and wingers pushing forward which efectively means only four players attacking. WHY? Against bleeding Wigan??? If we are going to try and give top 4 run for their money we need to go to places like Wigan looking for win.

Wigan obviously quickly figured out our plan and their fullbacks are lying deep meaning we have no chance of creating anything. That goal was accident waiting to happen. They are going to defend with ten men now and it's going to be real uphill struggle.

Take Barry off and throw Ireland in as the gap between central midfielders and strikers is HUGE now. We need playmaker on the pitch ASAP.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Where is the movement without ball. You can't stood still and play football. Football isn't a ballgame it's a game of running.

id debate putting weiss on, this game is about muscle, more likely to see RSC

Good analysis, NQ,...although he might be forced to take De Jong off: far too many sloppy tackles for me so far

Although I suspect Hughes plan was to bring on Ireland by the 70th minute at latest, if we needed creative touches to break down a stubborn defence.

NO.

WIGAN's game is about muscle and we shouldn't lower to their level. If that's the way we are going to play then we are guaranteed to lose this game. We need to start playing balls on the deck and put their central defence under pressure.
